I was really disgusted at this issue too as it sanctions Zina in the guise of Mutah, but then i realized that since Ahmadinejad govt came he introduced a law which makes it compulsory to register even a Mutah marriage in court in written form with 2 witnesses..And in case of unmarried couples, they have to get it signed by their parents too..

This law coupled with laws against Zina, really clamps down on any crimes and makes it a social taboo..

Besides, our Sunni youth are not angels either.

She just said that she's drugged and her husband was jailed. Although sunna are not believe in Muta but they do the worse. I was talking about legalized adultery in the guise of mutah, which has been clamped down upon by legislation of the Iranian govt in which even mutah marriage has to be formally registered with witnesses..Otherwise it is a crime..

These women are self medicating. They realize objectively (as they have themselves stated), that their drug use is unhealthy and a bad choice, but they're trapped in a vicious circle fueled by depression and addiction. It's a dismal life, and only a few make it out without a strong support network.

And these women have no such support.

There have been many great people who rose out of dreadful circumstances without any kind of support network. And nobody's asking these women to be another Harriet Tubman or Mother Teresa. I'm just pointing out that if your poor and your life sucks, and believe me everyone in Iran KNOWS what drugs can do to you, why spend your little earnings on heroin? Forget the prostitution for a second, worse than that is becoming prostitute to buy drugs then you cant afford food!

My friend, Mutah was halal based on Sahih hadiths of many sahaba including Ibn Abbas, who stated it was NEVER banned in the Prophet's lifetime. Of course we are speaking of an actual form of marriage here, not prostitution or human trafficking. The real Mutah gave the woman a lot more rights & respect than the BS you see in this video.

Ironically, the main "sahabi" who disliked Mutah was Ibn Zubayr, who himself was born of a Mutah marriage!!!!!
