@KingWhoShallReturn You mean Beatrix? What's the point? Steiner gains all her abilities later on AND they're way more powerful when he uses them. She only seems insanely powerful at the moment cause she has access to abilities we can't use till late game. Dagger and Eiko gain access to all the white magic she can use and then some and Steiner can use all the sword skills far more effectively plus extras. She's not as good as she seems.

@dRevan64 remember that required ate when you were escaping from alexandria on disc 2? well marcus says dagger instead of garnet; blank replies with puzzlement at who this new girl is to which marcus says, "you dont know?" i would imagine he told him sometime after that (either before or after your team gets on the gargant).

I think the reason Vivi is readjusting his hat is due to it being to big and falling down where as it seams like you are commenting on him adjusting it to look more presentable. I guess it just figured that way to me because it goes with the tripping and bumping.

The Phoenix summon actually saved my butt the last time I played through this game. I brought Zidane, Steiner, Quina and Eiko into the final battle with me (usually have Dagger and Eiko) and I actually got wiped out but then the Phoenix rose and I managed to defeat the boss in the next few turns. Talk about clutch.

Oh, so the race with Hippaul is what the Balfonheim Port Footrace was a reference to in FFXII. If you thought the footrace in this game was ridiculous...holy cow, that one's worse.

Last thing: are the treasures that were around town in Disc 1 still available on Disc 3?

Yay! HCBailly is back! I started to have withdrawl symptoms, i started to get the shakes and sick to my stomach. so i tried to ease my symptoms by watching every HC Bailly episode ever made! On that subject, I've heard that the latest models of Slim PS2s, due to an overzealous attempt to block 3rd party PS1 memory cards, end up blocking some official Sony memory cards. Did you ever have this experience, if you even have a Slim PS2?

@Elban19 Actually, that music was Tantalus theme. Alexandria town doesn't really have a theme to call its own. I changes to other characters' themes several times. 1) Beginning of the game: Vivi's theme 2) This part: Tantalus 3) A more melancholic arrangement of Zidane's theme. This one lasts until the end of the game.
