Look at :01 to :02 and you'll see #61 actually poke checks the puck back into his own zone.
The referee is obviously looking right at it and knows that it's on side since it was brought back onto ice by the opposing player.
Just a reminder to the players NEVER stop playing until the whistle is blown...

Kesler hit the CBJ players stick which hit the puck back into the zone to Samuelsson. Should of been unassisted, but i guess they felt generous.

the puck was swiped against the side by a columbus player and it bounced back "in" columbus's zone, I'm assuming.

Kesler sweeped it in off of the Jacket player's stick, so he technically tipped it into his own zone. but if that was what happened, then it should be unassisted, but Mitchell and Kesler got assists on the goal...
the refs are screwed up in the head.

you still get the assist(s), it's the last two players to touch the puck on one team without the other team gaining possession when the goal is scored....the rule for offside is different but to the benefit of the canucks; it's the fault of whoever last touched it.
to recap: because there was no possesson, assists are given; because it was brought in the zone off of a columbus player, it's not offside.
