I have a 92. If it was any lighter you may not be able to control it, plus they would have had to make some things cheaper. Not good. The super strong motor will find the weakness, ask my wallet. It is too much fun to drive for me to give up. It does have dual side airbags! Race to the speed limit..easy! I love my 92 SHO MTX

@KingofComputing safety has nothing to do with weight.You know the smart fortwo actually has very good crash ratings.If anything,the extra weight will cause more force when you crash.say if you threw a bowling ball at someone at 60 mph or a volleyball,the bowling ball would do more damage.bigger isnt always better.Its just a state of mind,

my buddy and i swapped the 3.8 engine from his mustang with the 3.2 engine and put the heads from the 3.0 engine from his sho that was totaled in an accident. it was nice being able to exploit the engine's capabilities. awesome engine/car. wish they still made them.

we had one when my dad was stationed in germany in the late 80s/early 90s, boy that car opened a can of whoop-ass on alot of those M5s and Audi 6000's. Man, thank god i found one before i got in the Army, and know i have my 2008 Super Duty Lariat F450 and my autobahn cruiser, my 1990 Ford Taurus SHO...DAMN GOOD CAR!!!
