  • HAAAHahahaha, check Sen. Kerry when he mentions the Bloggersphere (2:10) and on saying how perfect that was (2:14), the oneasy look he gives straight into the camera with a "crap, did I pronounce that right? is this what you asked for?" look on his face.

    Priceless..

  • Stephen Colbert Correspondence Dinner = Balls of STEEL

  • He is wrong. Stephen Colbert(silent t) is not an idiot. If he was a real person, he would be a genius. He can make any good thing seem evil. The perfect Republican strategist.

  • Wonder if he could ask him about his skull and bones membership without being tazed by cops lol

  • Thanks for spoiling the magic.

  • that dude could play Abraham Lincoln

  • @jill506 I thought he reminded me of someone :D

  • what the hell is a bunburyist?

  • MEDIC

  • so was this before or after "Dont TASE me, BRO!!!"

  • @DJpopel

If I'm not mistaken, 'DTMB" pre-dates the Colbert Report entirely....

  • cool guy ;) (stephen, not kerry....)

  • he isnt calling himself an idiot hes calling the character he plays an idiot...dumb ass

  • @Dusco25 Why would you lose respect for Colbert for this? Did you not know his character existed this entire time? If so, I feel really bad that you didn't get the joke all these years...

  • @Dusco25 You're a faggot.

  • @TyeNee lol took the words right outta my mouth..

  • This is great to see. Stephen Colbert is such a professional, such a great comedian. He's like David Byrne but as good at comedy as David Byrne is at being in Talking Heads and being David Byrne. They look alike.

  • stephen colbert is awsome

  • Kerry isn't the first & definitely not the last who seemed not to realize he was being made fun of by Colbert. Colbert's the best in the business for good reason; I think I remember that a while ago new congressmen from one of the major parties were even told not to go on his show if invited (or something like that).

  • @bosedog2003 the fact that you actually believe that I thought Colbert was just like this in real life is just hilarious. You just completely misunderstood my point.

  • Colbert is awesome.

  • All about ratings

  • @wiggledytoes 2+2=4

  • @IneffableLifestyle Correct? So whose going to carry on watching this and other channels like this. Everyone, wahoo, nation of zombies.

  • @wiggledytoes i agree to a certain degree.

  • @IneffableLifestyle Yeah mate i knew you did, hope it didnt sound like an attack on you, its just the way it is, one day mate, one day...

  • LOL, i thought the guy with the umbrella when they got out of the car, was holding a Churro. I was like, "Wtf??"

  • Got a make-out vibe when they met face-to-(close)face XD

  • Asshole stupid matherfucker

  • i love Stephens humility

  • you know whats sad, quoting passages from the bible over youtube because someone disagrees with your religion. the video is about a comedian, hes funny, laugh and get on with your day, youre not going to convert anyone via internet comments that take an obviously long amount of time

  • <3 <3 <3 STEPHEN! <3 <3 <3

  • Haha, I love him. He's so genuine.

  • wow, close talkers

  • A chest puffing contest at :30

  • I am in love with stephen colbert.

  • if there was a fascist comedy aura around here perhaps a drum machine has plethoraed a writers strike for willful indignance disambulation abuse becase the sticks in mardi gras land were actually salivate beads of real sweat and blood from talent borne and laden hovercraft aliens watching from afar. the sky. i will choose the bathosphere! don't be shy with the jam, which your ungodly doglike monte cristo iconic ciao down yum rushes sweet salty savory show me!

  • @SuperMegaUberGenius um....WHAT!!!

  • Colbert is so adorable.

  • Mr. Colbert is so handsome. I'd probably faint if i ever met him. Probably.

  • lol, Stephen Colbert is a Bunburyist.

  • @Excuseify YES!!! A reference to The Importance of Being Earnest! This made my day.

  • @Excuseify The Importance of Being Earnest!

  • @Excuseify This comment just made my day. The two people I adore most, Wilde and Colbert. Two masters of wit and language. Thanks :)

  • @Excuseify What is a Bunburyist?

  • @SethHesio Noun - It refers to someone that is in possession of a Burberry apparel.

  • @wildreams From Oscar Wilde's "The Importance of Being Earnest" - I have invented an invaluable permanent invalid called Bunbury, in order that I may be able to go down into the country whenever I choose. Bunbury is perfectly invaluable. If it wasn’t for Bunbury’s extraordinary bad health, for instance, I wouldn’t be able to dine with you at Willis’s to-night, for I have been really engaged to Aunt Augusta for more than a week.

  • @Excuseify sorry, whats a bunburyist?

  • @d1mitrov1 It's a reference to a play called "The Importance of Being Earnest."

  • Colbert is a Genius. nothing wrong with being human too.

  • Can someone please get John Kerry a sense of humor???

  • i like colberts character more than i like colbert

  • Dude looks like David Cross, but with more hair. And a bit... skinnier? Chubbier? I can't tell.

  • Stephen is Charming

  • Its sad that he talks about how he is an idiot, and willfully ignorant of what Kerry is going to talk about, and when you watch people on cable news they are soooooo like his character

  • hehehe religion

  • @stevo993371 What a joke.

  • Hey look! If you want to see the same old argument with the same old points, look below!

  • stephen colbert's real self remind me of jim carrey. the laugh/smile, and the way he talks....minus the crazy face of course lol

  • Kerry/Gore..

man what a half-decade that would have been..

  • Thanks, Wolf girl... I'd forgotten I posted on this. I guess liberal crybabies don't like people who disagree... so I got lots of negative votes... ooohhhh! my FEELINGS! Well let me post it again... it still makes me laugh!

  • @wikiskull No "liberal crybabies" don't like when someone gets on here and spreads fucking lies. FOX doesn't like people who disagree. They cut off people's mics and all kinds of other shit. So go laugh your fucking ass off. I really don't give a shit.

  • @wolfgirl3440 You obviously give enough of a shit to spout your glib point of view.

  • @m0rbidh0rr0r I'll shout my "glib point of view" when I want to. OK? I'm on here because I can't stand when morons like wikiskull get on here and trashes everyone else. Is is alright that I give my opinion, or does that violate some rule?

  • @wolfgirl3440 WOW! You get awfully worked up for someone who doesn't give a shit ;-). Need a tissue? Besides, I wasn't spreading lies... I was lamooning a satirist (how it THAT for irony?). FOX was not even a part of this video... I don't even watch TV anymore... it's all brainless trash... I prefer the intellectual conversation YOU provide.

  • @wikiskull Shut your fucking mouth you moron. And yes I know that FOX wasn't a part of this video, but I'm sure you used to watch it when you watched TV because of your opinion of things. And dude, you're fucking rude. "I prefer the intellectual conversation YOU provide." How could you say something like that? Would you say that to my face if we were face to face?

  • @life54321

Forgive me for the oversight on your case. You are a very particular kind of idiot who makes it worse by fervently believing you are better then everyone else, i. e. "smug-ass" as you would put it. Also I assure you that in the largely Christian country that is America it takes more nads than you could ever dream of to show the disfunction that rules the catholic church. And why would you assume that attacking muslims is more dangerous? Because you are and ignorant racist/xenophobe.

  • @noedodson

You, sir, are an embarrassment to the human race as a whole, along the lines of Glenn Beck.

@wolfgirl3440 I appreciate what you are trying to do but behind the long argumentation, this person is what is commonly referred to as "a troll". He wants to irritate. Don't justify his behavior by answering his misguided comment.

  • @TheMrArnus @wolfgirl3440 I don't want to irritate, I'm just sick of cheap comedy. I still watch the show every night, don't get me wrong, I just think he could do so much better than what he's doing right now, and I'm sick of seeing entire shows turned into painfully long ads like the Ben&Jerry one. I wish Christopher Hitchens were as famous as Colbert. And I really thought Colbert was smart enough not to believe in stupid Christianity nonsense. No offense, but this is 2011, gotta drop the bs.

  • How did you get backstage?!?!?! OMG I would love to do that! I wanna meet him one day! Him and Stewart! =D

  • MOAR

  • The Colbert Report is such an embarrassment sometimes, Stephen probably makes 10 times what O'Reilly does with all his stupid hidden-ads and obnoxious songs, and yet he claims to be a liberal... I just don't get it. If he's that much of a liberal, why has he dedicated his entire life to make as much money as possible? I wouldn't be surprised if he was hiding money in Switzerland or something... I mean, seriously, every single show is a new ad for some nasty fast-food company or something..

  • @noedodson He`s being funny you tard. He does it because he makes money yes, but also because it allows to to add some amusing jokes and gags to his show (like running for president in 2008 as the "doritos candidate" lol). He`s not an idiot about it either. Look at Glen beck and how he backs up all those gold companies by going on their adds.

  • @noedodson I don't think he dedicated his entire life to make as much money as possible. I think the money just comes with that job. If that's the job he wants fine. And he is a liberal. Here's proof: Are you a Democrat?Listen, it's a secret ballot. Yeah, I'm a Democrat. I'm not asking anybody to vote for Democrats or Republicans. I say everyone should vote for both candidates -- except me. Just let me vote for Kerry. Then we'll be fine. -Stephen Colbert And I think someone's jealous of Colbert.

  • @wolfgirl3440 Jesus please do not bring the "you're jealous" argument, it's so annoying and incredibly stupid. I think Stephen is just a comedian with very good liberal ideas who, instead turning into a more political person (like Bill Maher for example) decided to hide behind the wall of cheap cynisms and stupid advertising for fast-food branches and what not, he's become like a little Walt Disney with his silly songs.. I wouldn't be surprised to see a Colbert doll at toys'r'us

  • @noedodson I really don't think Stephen wants to be a political figure. I think he's turned into one, but he's only trying to bring happiness and laughter into people's lives. And yes, there very well may be a Stephen Colbert doll at Toys R' Us because he's someone people wouldn't mind their children looking up to. He's a very devout Catholic and a genuinely nice guy. Unlike Bill O'Reilly, who comes from the opposite side of the universe.

  • @wolfgirl3440 He's using politics to make his jokes, so he wants to be political but not too much, every time he could actually make a real point he just makes a stupid joke instead.. It's such a shame cause he makes a lot of good points but they'll never reach out because he tries so hard to make his little jokes.. And I'm pretty sure he's an atheist, or at least I hope so.

  • @noedodson No he's not an athiest. And why do you hope so? jw Did you see where he testified in front of Congress on the rights of migrant workers? Yeah he cracked a few jokes, I mean he's Stephen Colbert. But mostly he was serious. He made his point known. Yeah he got a lot of criticism for it but so what? He makes real points when he feels like they need to be made. He's not a news anchor, he's a comedian.

  • @wolfgirl3440 You just proved me how useless Stephen Colbert is. There are enough pointless comedy shows for bored people to watch, I thought Stephen was a bit beyond that but I guess I was wrong.

  • @noedodson How the heck did I prove that?!?! I proved that he's not useless. His comedy show puts real issues out there, just like The Daily Show. He and Jon Stewart use their voices to make points known to the American people. And you didn't tell my why you hoped he was an athiest either.

  • @noedodson lol u are fucking retarted to think he acts just like the person he is on show during his regular life.... and he says there is no guarantee that im out of character right now ... u are dumb thats all i gotta say

  • @noedodson I don't think you are aware of Colbert's and Jon Stewart's roles. They are comedians first, and because of their role in comedy, have turned into political figures of some sort. Stewart brings the absurdity of government and the media to us as it is, we would all be aware of the absurdity without him, but he gives us something to laugh at. Colbert is there to represent the news that we find so absurd, a nice twist from the Daily Show. Two people from CC are more sensible than most.

  • @noedodson it is fine that Colbert plugs a new product every week. it is hilarious. as long as he is funny i do not care what he is paid.

  • @22439384 then you're a dumbass.

  • @noedodson okay.

  • Blogosphere? dude's old...

  • I always figure he would tell them backstage that he's just an ignorant asshole on camera otherwise ppl would be way more comfrontational

  • @life54321 i have watched Colbert for years now and I can in fact say that though I have no direct evidence, I have seen Colbert stab a little fun at Allah and the Arabic ways. Second, out of character, Colbert is one of the most religious men you will ever meet. He teaches sunday school at his local Catholic church, or at least he used to. and lastly, why are you mad that Colbert isn't making fun of the God you believe in? If he were to make fun of Allah in anyway, you'd be on his ass if he did

  • I wonder if Stephen briefs every guest like this before the show, or if Kerry got special treatment...

  • @tragic1Kingdom Colbert said in an interview that he always briefs his guests before the show so that they know he's in character :)

  • @life54321 dude shut the fuk up im a christian and i dont get butt hurt about his jokes then why should u pussy

  • @life54321 Go on live tv and dog Mo the child molester and see how many death threats you get from the crazy ass Islamists. Most religions are inherently evil but only Islam directly commands the killing of everyone with different views. These people are so fk up in the head that they will blow themselves up to make a point.

  • @ShaggyShagz13 i do not know any Islamists, but i know that Muslims believe in peace. it is a very peaceful religion. Islam does not say kill everyone who disagrees with you. in fact Muhammad often preached respect the people of the book, referring to Jews and Christians. there are extremists out there, but that is true in every religion.

  • Comment removed

  • @22439384 . I know many Muslims (gas station monopoly and all) and consider some of them my friends. The only point I was trying to make is that most fanatical zealots of other faiths are content with just preaching to you or online threats of violence as opposed to hunting you down and murdering you. Mo gets grumpier the further into the story you get.

  • @ShaggyShagz13 you mean like the Cristian terrorist that shot a doctor that gives abortions?

  • @22439384 That is why I said most. One person shooting one other person isn't that big a deal (though, still fkd up) compared to hundreds of people that are all willing to blow themselves up to kill a roomful or more people each. Bushit forced the term "terrorist" on us. You have to constantly and consistently cause fear to be a terrorist. If you are arrested or dead you cannot be a terrorist and a school bully is more intitled to the term. We should be calling them fanatics in my opinion.

  • @ShaggyShagz13 the reason they have more people willing to blow themselves up is not because of the religion of Islam and the teachings of the prophet Muhammad. people blow them selves up in crowded shopping centers in Israel for the same reason members of the IRA are blowing up British pubs. people in the Gaza strip are fighting for their homeland, and other fanatics are helping them. now the IRA proves that you cannot win a war on terror. even now with Irish independence it still exists.

  • @22439384 Martyrdom for virgins is a big incentive though.

  • @life54321 No, you are just an idiot. Its all an act. Hell, he is even a Sunday school teacher

  • @life54321 some one sounds a little butt hurt, come down it's satire lol what have you done that is so courageous internet tough guy?

  • @life54321 Well fuck you too buddy.

  • loved seeing him behind the scenes! <3

  • "Wanna dip some Skoal?" lol

  • colbert is great at what he does

  • Come on now, I cannot be the only one that wants Colbert to kiss Kerry...

  • @cardisomapatriot I think that's a little over the top don't you? I mean people can like Colbert or they can't. This doesn't mean they hate America. And even if you didn't mean that literally, and I don't think you did, it is a little over the top.

  • It's very interesting and rare to see Stephen out of character.

  • Colbert is a genius.

  • WHAT WITH THE 102 DISLIKES?!? Seriously.

  • @yayshe there will always be dislikes in every video. Many of them are probably unintentional, since the buttons are right next to each other. Given the ratio, this video is better off than the majority :)

  • Comedy Central is my news channel.

Fox News is my comedy channel.

  • @pliskin100 Hey, you've got it backwa -- oh I get it. Carry on.

...aaaaanyway.. It's nice to see Stephen out of character. Seems like a really nice guy. Not that I ever thought he was an ass, but it's still nice to know he's not. :)

  • @BarbaricGoose isn't kerry a republican?

  • @pliskin100 Nah, he's a democrat.

  • @pliskin100 - The news makes me laugh :), and the comedy makes me cry! :(

  • @pliskin100 Amen brother! (or sister) haha =)

  • @pliskin100 Thanks for letting everyone know why America is going down the toilet :D

  • @pliskin100

    brilliant

  • @pliskin100 HAHAH!!!

  • Colbert should run for president!

  • @ramalama246 He did! But only in South Carolina. That's where he was born, so he decided he would do it there. But yeah he should! He and Stewart team up and be the President and Vice-President! I don't know which would be which though. Hmmm... Definitely something to think about. haha =)

  • John Kerry stinks of Skull and Bones.

  • Beck is a comedian idiot.

  • @rosstube it's comments like that that make me love people:)

  • What? No tongue?

  • As an Iraq/Afghanistan veteran who grew up in South Carolina....I got to say.....Go Stephen! And don't for get South Carolina's motto.....Go Gocks! Don't ever forget where you came from! Im a huge fan, have been and always will be! Of you of course!...Well and the Cocks! Keep it real brother! The Colbert Nation is South Carolina!

  • As an Iraq/Afghanistan veteran who grew up in South Carolina....I got to say.....Go Stephen! And don't for get South Carolina's motto.....Go Gocks! Don't ever forget where you came from! • sloaches

  • BUSTED Mr. "Stephen Colbert", if this is your REAL NAME...

  • i always wondered if he talked to people as himself before the interviews and warned them what was about to come. thanks for posting

  • I heart Stephen Colbert.

  • God bless this man, a american hero and a republican super hero

  • Is it me or does it look like that they are dancing together at times during this?

  • Doppelganger! doppelganger! where the fuck is my Colbert!?! doppelgangerdoppelgangerdoppelganger

  • COLBERT !!!EXPOSED!!!

  • Yes Rosstube......I realize Cobert is really a non-conformist like myself.....Heck, the last time I voted Which was a long time ago I vote myself for President and my Best friend and Vice President....But after much thought I had made a mistake I should have made my Friend the President because she would have to do all the work and I as Vice President could just stand there and Look Pretty :--))

  • It's extremely strange watching this.

  • this video makes me sad

  • @terminatorgir Why? =(

  • @wolfgirl3440 it breaks my americone dream

  • @terminatorgir haha Have you had that ice cream? It's soooo good! haha =) But yeah he is a lot different in real life than on his show. It is kinda sad, but at least we know that he's a genuinely nice guy! =)

  • @wolfgirl3440 true, and its the best ice cream ever.

  • I just had to look Isopraxism up...

It's a reptilian principle of mimicking according to one definition. Colbert's a reptoid? I already knew that about Kerry.

  • Why is Stephen and the senator swaying together?

  • @Rehack65 One word: Isopraxism.

  • @Joshtch oh ya, that make sense.

  • @Rehack65

Interviewers and politicians tend to use a lot of body language to communicate. Moving around is an unspoken way to covey nervousness, or trepidation, probably they are all a little anxious about the upcoming taping. Plus, its a small room.

  • I love his character :)

  • Both sides are wrong. Independents are sooo much better anyway...Colbert is hysterical!

  • If you don't like an idiotic rapper, or some cheese ball celebrity, well then you're a "hater." If you don't like Stephen Colbert, then YOU ARE a hater!

  • lurch is such a humorless loser... Wanna pabst blue ribbon? PBR? wanna dip some skoal? Colbert is hilarious and he's lurching around like an idiot.

  • A very funny interview with Stephen on Conan O'Brien is on my profile, please check it out :)

  • I. LOVE. STEPHEN. COLBERT. end of story.

  • I bet that guy with the trench coat has a uzi

  • @jacsantacruz Stephen Colbert is a Democrat, he has repeatedly stated it.

  • @devrobbiz haha ok so in case no one got this i was joking thank you!

    I am a Dem myself!

  • @jacsantacruz - yeah right! Um, no. He's a practicing Catholic, but he doesn't even think jews are going to Hell.

  • @metasailor I'm a Catholic and I don't think Jews are going to Hell. Why do you think that? Catholics don't think Jews go to Hell.

  • @wolfgirl3440 - because the whole deal is that, according to Catholicism (and nearly all other Christian sects), you have to believe that Jesus Christ was the Son of God. Otherwise you're going straight to hell.

Jews don't believe that Jesus Christ was the Son of God. Therefore any strict Catholic must believe the Jews are going to Hell.

  • @metasailor Actually, your first argument is not entirely accurate. “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven." (Mt 7:21) “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock... But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand." (Mt:7:24, 26)

  • Cont. @metasailor "...'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink...'" (Mt 25:41) "You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder." (James 2:19) “If God were your Father, you would love me, [but] [y]ou belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires." (John 8:42,44)

  • Cont.
