Esperanza is the Truth! But I want to know why some of the comments on this thread are comparing Esperanza to Alicia Keys... I know the answer and it annoys the hell out of me. Well, they play different types of music. I think Alicia Keys was trained in the classical piano realm. I'm not sure if playing the bass is any harder than playing the piano. All I know is that both of them are talented and BEAUTIFUL!!!

Um, No. Alicia Keys is definitely not a pop singer. She's been playing the piano since she was 7 years old. She went to school for playing the piano. That's what she does. I would LOVE to see Esperanza and Alicia perform together. Maybe that's just me.

Alicia does have a degree in Classical piano from the Proffesional Performing Arts School in Manhattan, and because of her ability to make commercially appealing music, she is VERY rich. Nothing wrong with that. Esperanza is obviously on a completely different level of creativity and musicianship, but there's no denying that Alica is a succesful musician too, though you're right, she likely wouldn't be able to hang with this girl.

Alicia Keys attended Professional Performing Arts School and graduated at 16. She later attended Columbia University. Don't forget Alicia is just as talented and Vice Versa. I honestly think Esperanza has the potential to be one of the GREATEST and most definantly pass Alicia Keys up when its all siad and done. But Alicia is far from a gimmick, I seen her live and she plays the piano brilliantly!!
