My best with the 5.7L was 12.4@107 N/A 1.73 60ft and 11.87@114 ( 100 shot) spinning 1.73 60ft. before i dropped a valve and instead of putting it back as a 5.7 im trying to find me a 6.1L block right now..if not i guess ill go back to a 5.7L and try a different cam and go for 12.2 N/A

The 6.2 is weak compared to the 6.1 hemi which runs 425 on both ends. I just i dnt understand why they havent put it in a ramd yet and if they have i wanna kno which one

I drive a stockish '99 Dakota R/T, and this statement is true. A guy I know picked one up new last year, and we raced quite often (because the close ones are the most fun : ] ). I'd always get him out of the hole, he'd play catch up until we hit about 95, and then he'd creep past me barely. Then he got it tuned, and it woke that truck the hell up. I like them a lot, but they're too expensive for me.
It's factory. Since the '09 came out. The inline 6 is only used in the trailblazer/envoy/ascender. no trucks. Isuzu only helps with the Duramax. that's it. GM just had a partnership with Isuzu, that's why they use the same in the i-270 and i-390. Just like Dodge sleeps with Mitsubishi frequently and Ford with Mazda. At least GM's Japs build the best diesel period, known worlwide.

@MrYukon04 Chevrolet did offer a V8 for the Colorado, it's the LH8 5.3L Vortec V8 that produced 300 hp and 320 lb-ft of torque. It was offered since 2009.

I have an 06 Xtreme, so I know for a fact that the trucks, stock, are quite slow. The biggest engine it came with, prior to the 2009 5.3L V8, was a 3.7L in-line 5-cylinder, which preceeded the 3.5L from 2004-2006. The 3.7 has only about 200RWHP, the 3.5, about 180. That is probably why you could beat it.
This one has an LS1 installed, that is why it kicks ass.
I still like the trucks, they look really nice. I love my truck, but wish I had the funds to drop in the LS2.
when you have street tires you dont want to heat them up.. you just spin em to clean the dirt off.. the hottter you ghert street tires the less traction you have
very true lol most of all of the magizines dont launch when testing 1/4 miles times or 0-60. so with the syclone launching its turbo and awd will get out in front with ease. but it cant out run the 5,000lbs and 500hp ram. its a pretty close race

Take trips into reality much? The Hemi and LSX motors ARE VERY similar and both take very well to mods. Look at an 05-06 GTO 6 Speed and a Charger SRT-8. The Charger is much heavier and automatic only, but BOTH are high 12/low 13 second cars

actually those ls1's get pretty good mileage. i can pull off 28 or so on the highway in my ls1 camaro and around 19-22 city (if im easy on it lol)

Well, it's an aluminum frame with a composite material on both sides. It sits flush and is not a roll over.

Yea I doubt ur gonna put swap and ls1 in a truck and not modify it. And The Dodge weighs 6k compared to 4.8k for the colorado now come on.
Lets see it line up next to a SRT8 Magnum they weigh bout 4.3k or maybe just an R/T still probably same out come and they alot closer in weight.

This sounds like a typical new-age mopar guy. First of all, the new hemi is a. a terd, and b. not even a real hemi. Study a cut-away, they are a penta chamber, not a smooth hemisphere. Talk to any old mopar guy and they will tell you the new engine is a joke and puts a shame to the nameplate. I love old mopar stuff, but come on. You can make anything fast if your wallet is fat enough.

You are partially right, i have HAD 2 small block S-1s, but neither made good drivers so the last one was sold in 04. Did you do anything to the motor? If not, i would guess that is a mid 13 second truck at best, which would basically match my BPU GTP. I wouldn't knock you, but come on, you have 50 HP and 2000 pounds on that truck and you think beating it is impressive, give me a break.... I actually expected the Colorado to do better than it did.......

Its got a cam, but otherwise stock. Mid 12's untuned. What would you prefer me to race? He was at the track and wanted to race, (SAID HE COULD OUTRUN ME). If he thinks that it is faster because he has a Hemi, then he is wrong. No different than me showing up with a camaro and saying that it is faster because it has an LS-1. Someone would shut me up quick.

I am sorry, that does NOT look like a mid 12 truck in that run, those Hemis, condisering it looked like a quadcab 4x4, is like a mid 15 second truck. I think it is more the fact you are coming off as cocky about it. There are some damned quick Hemi trucks out there..... just not that one.

Take trips into reality much? The Hemi and LSX motors ARE VERY similar and both take very well to mods. Look at an 05-06 GTO 6 Speed and a Charger SRT-8. The Charger is much heavier and automatic only, but BOTH are high 12/low 13 second cars

Yeah I'm always taking trips, just came back from cloud 9 with your mom. No shit there similar, GM designed it and Dodge copied it...I do agree that the Charger is heavier, about 300lbs heavier and has a 6.1L making 25hp more than the 6.0L GTO, that kinda makes your wounder why there both high 12/low13sec cars, doesnt it?
