Trey was in my rock band as the bass player many many years ago in San Antonio then quit and moved on to study with Fripp, his skills have grown into the mesosphere and mine... well lets just say I am still on the planet with the other minions of guitar players...Check out Anna Veleva's song on itunes called Deep.

I can't imagine what thought process, exactly, influenced Robert Fripp to select this fatuous prat to become a member of King Crimson. However, I can well imagine that that same thought process must also have influenced him to hound Bill Bruford out of the band.

Piece of some kind of cloth, might be shoelace, or piece of rope. Anyway if you wanna tap you have to mute strings and thats what it's for.
