Tongue piercings generally aren't painful, the muscle fibers in the tongue are striated so the needle slips through very easily. And no the "white stuff" on your tongue after your piercing wasn't your taste buds dying, your tongue was reacting and healing.

I have my tongue done & nothing went wrong, it healed perfectly fine, i dont see what people do wrong to make theirs infect because as long as you rince your mouth with mouth was every morning & night & after you're done eating or having a smoke, everything should be alright... Mind you i dont smoke so maybe that also affects the healing process.

The piercers say that the tongue piercing is one of the least painful piercings and I reckon its true. When I got mine done, I barely felt it. My ear piercing was more painful. And your not allowed to have any anesthetic because you could swallow your tongue.

its a normal and common tongue piercing without any sanitary procedures. it actually never bleeds unless of course the person doing it is not a professional... and the piercing itself doesnt hurts at all until 1 or 2 hours afterward
