@iamfreeful1 It's called a Horsehair worm. It's larvae is indigested by an insect host. When the parasite becomes too big, it releases a chemical in the host insect, that makes it thirsty. The insect then goes and finds water, as soon as it starts drinking, the worm comes out. The worm then waits in the water for a partner so it can mate. They lay eggs in the water and the whole process repeats itself. Sometimes the host survives, sometimes not.
