@lyonslaforet You got that right. Wore this album out back in the day. These guys and Warrior Soul were missed by a lot of people. In a way it makes them better
You kids are gonna shit your pants when you finally discover some real stoner rock. Try some Bison B.C. - slow hand of death, then tell me how awesome Kyuss is. I am not buying into them pioneering stoner rock either, I'll stick with Sleep on that one. Maybe they did pioneer Stoner Lite.
I imagine the sky in the desert overlaid with an old astronomy map,all lines and numbers at the end.As the world turns,it shifts with the turn of the Earth. Mellow. From 3:00 join me....
I love this. Go to any other metal video and you'll see a bunch of assholes arguing about genres or some shit. But with Kyuss everyone just appreciates the music for what it is.
Maybe when we reach the end of our roads we will hear the rest of this song...
All 49,999,999 years and however many days, minutes and seconds that will be but we know it would be perfect all the way... All the trip... Maybe ill hear the rest of this beautiful song next time i go picking mushies... I can only hope and see :)
@j1mmyj03 Your comment kills me. You make a deep proufound statement insinuating eternity and all of its mysteries, then make a drug refrence....Now i have to knock back a couple pints of cheap red wine and ponder my own ending to your thought provoking comment.
@j1mmyj03 Soon I came to realise that since this world began to turn. Have you ever considered That, we turn, we turn up to you. No, feel free an inside out, and run, for hundred miles for the smile for the smile ... ???
I'm sort of obsessive, so I often listen to songs and just put notes where they should sound right. But I can't do that with this song. Literally every note is in exactly the right place. There is no way this song could be improved.
@MrBlink41SUM for real dude. a kickass piece of fuckin art. i always try to show kyuss to people but they wont listen and if they do, they dont get the awesomeness. i think this is a fuckin unique and incredible band, and so much more to be said about it.
thanks for taking my back bro. This album and Sky Valley are some of the deepest and most listener-challenging pieces of music out there. Lots of people just don't have the patience or mindset to experience it. I'm lucky I do.
@MrBlink41SUM yeah. it also took me a pretty long time to understand kyuss. it all sounded like some noises and nothing close to a normal song. but since i got into this i feel every sound and almost everytime i listen to a song i discover how awesome some sound is and how it fits into the song. people dont get this music. everytime i think like "wtf! this is incredible stuff! how?!", but then i remember that people just dont get it or they dont wanna get it. but there are still dudes like us
I think nowadays people want Lady Gaga and stuff that's instantly entertaining. You have to sit back and chill to get the full feeling of the music. Especially this song, when the clean part starts there's so many layers that all work together to produce a super calm emotion. Same thing in Capsized.
@misovafurka I think like you, boy are you in trouble. I never heard of this group it popped up when I was searching for monster magnet videos, the only think I don't like is the music drowns out the words, like some the old doors would do. I am sure some of these songs will grow on me. I had a shrink at tech school for a fill psyc teacher, and I was told one about 1 or 2 % of the people in the world think like I do, so for the first time am at the top of the list for something.
half this song is a transcendent fucking cool-as-shit solo

Kyuss, you should have never disbanded.
Thrashmaniac1986 7 months ago
@Thrashmaniac1986 Imagine if they got onto the nu-metal phase at the end of the nine- I should'nt have said that..
Probably why they disbanded, they made some sick stuff and left it at that, that's what makes them great.
Kyuss Lives! was amazing live but recording a new album? I'm meh about that, not without Josh I am anyways.
