@jcamo12345 Yeah technically, if you want to follow one of the official romanizations of Japanese, but since Japanese is not spelled with the Latin alphabet and its his own name, he can choose to spell it however he wants to.
Very cool. Intresting to see Japanese art that isn't manga. *Sigh* 25 next month and still a million miles from Japan financial wize. I'll never make it. :( So thanks for bringing some of Japan, to us all Ken. Domo Arigato Gozaimasta. Oh! Have you read James Clavell's novel Shogun?
It's great. A novel of Midevil Japan, from many perspectives. The Mini series is from only the perspective of Pilot (Navagator) Jhon Blackthorn; an English Pilot on a dutch ship that lands on Japanese shore durring a civil war. But also finds that their enimies, the Portugese are there. I'm playing the game now, where you play one of the 8 clans of Japan to become Shogun.
I am a huge fan of yours Ken-san. I love your videos. I am also an artist, I really enjoyed this video. Yamamoto-san and Murakami-san are both very good artists. Arigato gozaimasu!
I loved the duality of his imagery. It really puts his experiences and perspective into sharp focus. Yamamoto-san should be very proud of his work, because it is very impressive.
Yoskay Yamamoto is an awesome artist! thanks for introducing his art work to us. i luv these types of vidz of yours! youre like the perfect person for introducing contemporary japanese artists to us north americans!..hehe:)
At this point in my life I appreciate you sharing your adventures otherwise I would never get to experience such gallery openings. When I was young and in college I attended many such events with my friends. Good luck to your very creative friends.
Ken san - quality as usual. I think that these are actually my favourite vids on YouTube. Good on you for featuring Yoskay, and I hope you are enjoying Japan!

Why is his name Yoskay?
I would have thought it would be something like Yousuke in Japanese :)
Just wondering

Very very cool art!
And very very deep psychology behind it!
Being the father of a "multi-cultural" child, I can understand this dichotomy of feelings!
Great post, KT!!!
