I would ingore the stupid signs saying students can't ride so what? I would ride the elevator more then take stairs. I have ridden the elevator at my school many times.
@dontwalkhand The reason why they don't allow students in the elevators is because they don't want them to use the elevator as a truancy tool and so students cannot cram into the elevators and get stuck in them, which can be catastrophic. I am not a student at this school though, so I was permitted to use it. So what if it is bad towards our interests, it's just one normal elevator. There is nothing special to it. There are many other ones we can ride and film.
@escalatorgeek881 The real problem I have with such a rule is that it is proof that schools here in the United States do not care about kids with unique interests. They do not foster them, instead they continue to shun them away. They try to instead mold everybody to be the same as everyone else, without regard to the damage they are doing to society. They try to shape everyone into copies of one another! Shame on the US School System and their elevator rules!
@dontwalkhand That is a highly exaggerated theory, I can spend days debating on that issue, and I don't believe in that. Some people on YouTube will try to lure you into believing that stuff. Making the elevators off limits has nothing to do with that. Schools do not try to make people the same, they try to teach you how to be successful in society and no, they do NOT NEGLECT INTERESTS!!! At least my school promotes them.
this elevator looks better than the one at spring valley high, spring valley high's elevator breaks down every 4 months. I think otis hydraulic elevators are more reliable than thyssenkrupp. My sister says she went on this elevator about a year ago when her middle school took her on a field trip to visit all high schools. She says all the stairs are located outside so the teachers didn't want to go outside in the cold.
@elevatorgeek88 I had a thought that you would be dazzled to see RNE High School's elevator to be filmed, since that leaves I think only one high school on Columbia's eastern suburbs untouched, Ridgeway?
@escalatorgeek881 oh cool. so Richland School District 2 has two high schools with thyssenkrupp elevators. I wonder what brand of elevators are at Dent Middle School which is 2 stories. I might have a chance to find out soon because I believe my sister is having a student council meeting there,
@escalatorgeek881 i think blythewood high has schindler 330as since i went there over there once but i wasn't able to access the elevator since it was turned to off.

Why does 1st floor say B1?
ELTIGREROCKS10NEW 1 year ago
@ELTIGREROCKS10NEW I don't know

@ELTIGREROCKS10NEW I have no clue. Floor B1 is not underground, although it would be if the ground was never carved out for the parking lot.

I would tear that "NO STUDENT ALLOWED" sign off.

@irwinw2010 Try it and see what the school administrators say.

@elevatorgeek88 I have been inside Blythewood High School, and it has one elevator in the lobby, and I believe it is ThyssenKrupp.
