@ilovefreedom80 Yes, I much prefer Elvis's early music to the later stuff. I think this track by Paul is an absolute gem and I can just imagine Elvis singing it! Thanks for your comment.
LOVE that ending! Classic. While watching the slideshow it struck me that Paul's pic at 1:30 somehow best addresses that song. That's a pic from the Beatles era, and I can easily imagine that song on the White Album. But, honestly, the Beatles couldn't have made it sound as good as this. That says something about Wings, cuz I'm a HUGE Beatles fan.
@Jonno2summit Thanks for your comment, I love this track because it's so simple, it reminds me of the style of "McCartney"his first solo album and of course he does a great Elvis impression!
In the Anthology "extra" interviews, Paul said he never saw Elvis again after the famous 1965 meeting at Elvis' LA house. George said he saw Elvis backstage after a 1971 Madison Square Garden concert. Ringo said he saw Elvis performing in Las Vegas in the 70's, but didn't go backstage. In an earlier interview, John said he was offered a backstage pass to see Elvis in Vegas but declined to go.
I think that is because the Beatles admired and were influenced by Elvis's 1950s music, but didn't like his later stuff. It wasn't just the Sun music they liked though because John said when he heard Heartbreak Hotel, his hair stood on end because he knew it would change everything and it did. Heartbreak Hotel was produced by RCA, but the exs freaked because they had never heard anything like it and didn't know what to do!
Awesome tribute song to Elvis!!!!!

Paul Mccartney actually wrote this song for Elvis and sent it to his offices and had it sent back, he later recorded it with wings :P

Sounds like an Elvis Presley song from his early days and a song The Beatles would have covered.

This is great..Paul and John Lennon both loved Elvis's early music.
This song and John lennon's '(Just Like) Starting Over' have them both singing like Elvis :)

The intro is a mix between Elvis' "that's all right mama" and "My baby left me"

If only Paul McCartney grew up in Memphis, Tennessee and first recorded at Sun Records, this would be the song!

Love this tune. Not many Macca fans know it but it is one of his underrated rockers.

love this song. He captured such a raw rock sound on guitar and bass, and not to forget vocals. (thank you Elvis).
The London Town album is great and this is one of the pearls on it.
