  • Ronnie used to be so good....ah well....

  • When Steve quit that was the end for the Small Faces. Ron Wood is a lousy guitar player and noone could write songs like Steve.

  • put down the crack pipe

  • @anonymusum True they became a different band, but having seen them both, I would say that the faces were a fantastic live band, until about 1972 when Rod started to think he was amazing, became a grotesque caricature and ruined it all.

  • @anonymusum what makes u say that woody is a bad guitarist?...i disagree. .He is also a great bass player

  • GO ROD!!!! YOU ARE MELODIC!!

  • Ian Mclagen, ok sounds like a Scott, that's ok for me an Irish Sullivan that I am. I drink Single Malt's every evening with fine cigars. Rock on

  • @TheCigartrader For me a Scottish Ferguson I like a drop of Teachers every now and then. And I like the Small Faces, the Faces, Rod Stewart, Ron Wood, Queen, Led Zeppelin, and so on... ROCK ON, BROTHERS AND SISTERS!!

  • Ron Wood rocking a Dan Armstrong plexi-I had one meself.

  • What a prick that interviewer was at the beginning absoulutely clueless. Some things never change. Do they?

  • This is a great video and the sound is solid also. I loved covering these songs it was a challenge to sound like Rod. Is that Nicky Hopkins on Piano?

  • @TheCigartrader It's Ian McLaglen

  • mac

  • This is a great video and it was a fantastic band too!

  • intervewier is some prick from Europe who hasnt a fucking clue. What a wanker (as we say in England)

  • @megaEDWIN3 probably a french faggot! Rock on Faces!

  • Awesome !

  • "gettin dirty!"

  • the interviewer is a fucking moron.

  • This is so funny today... Elton John melodic.. well in 2011 Rod still going strong... this is the Rod I remember... he was in a class of his own! Unique and def one of a kind... moving to his own spirit

  • great stuff!!!

  • Old Rod at his best here, no" your in my heart " shit here !!

  • Love the sound of Ronnie's guitar. Perfect compliment to Rod's vocals. This band should be in the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame.

  • omg woooh he is georgous luv ya rod

  • ''BBC Sounds of the Saturday'' is one of the best performance I've seen of the Faces. Rod Stewart (not d) is the vocalist of course. I also like the clearance of the sound on this video.

  • I was looking at the description for the upload and it fairly accurate, but they didn't leave the small face to create the faces, when Marriott left they got Stewart and Wood from the Jeff Beck Group as a replacement. They released an album as Small Faces, but the name referred to all of them being really short and, as Stewart and Wood were both fairly tall they simply dropped the small.

  • ronnie wood with the slide in his mouth lol

  • Rod picks up the insecurity of the interviewer like a red rag to a bull . Dont mess with ROD ! He does not belittle the man on camera or takes offence , he makes a joke out of it with a final comment . He,s a cool dude !!!

  • maybe this video won't get taken down as fast because it's "steward" hahaha.

  • Rod is one of the greats, that is why he is still aroud. Hell of a showman live too. I used to love the way he kicked the soccer balls around the arena.

  • Ok, EPIC FAIL.

    Rod StewarT

Rod Steward is not a world accepted legendary performer.

    Shame on you.

    :p

  • Is Rod Steward related to Steve Marriod?

  • @duncanstpt F@%#@$CK NO!!

  • they just don't come any sexier.....

  • Music of today pales in comparison..

  • Best pub rock band ever....

  • 1 of the greatest rock songs ever!! ron wood is just awsome , no 1 can touch at this time, n stewys voice, omg!!!!!

  • Sit on my Faces! Yieeeeeah!

  • There's no Stewart/ Marriot comparison! Each one of them, every move, every tone that came out of their mouths is priceless and should be treasured and never put to competition. Each is a jewel to a dead, short yet powerful era.

And to someone that said that this is the Black Crowes...these are exactly their influences

  • Great quality!

  • かっこ良い

  • hope the interviewer is still alive so i can kill him... no really

  • The asshole interviewing Rod is a dickbag...this song still kicks ass today ! ! !

  • @anchorrot even though I put three exclaimation marks in, I think you've missed the irony in my post to Julie!!! Steve had a massive ego, about as big as it gets! made him even more the great performer he was even if he did rub a few people up the wrong way.

  • Wait, isn't this The Black Crowes? :)

  • @jonsilence looks like em :P

  • Now this is Rod worth listening to...right around the time I got to see them live. I'll even overlook that you misspelled his name ;)

  • 1:22 = classic rock by the faces; too bad rod went on to peddle all that crappy disco-pop drivel as a solo act.

  • who the fuck is rod STEWARD i thought he was called rod STEWART

  • @mickmodchris LOL

  • @mickmodchris lol

  • @mickmodchris A lot others thought as you did, Rod is from north Scotland, family name is Stewart and are or were a clan as all Scotish family's were. No big deal.

  • @mickmodchris Haha! Rod STEWARD, obviously, takes care of things when Rod STEWART is not around.

  • Man this interviewer is a fucking douche!! DONT FUCK WITH ROD THE MOD!

  • R.I.P. Mr. Ronnie Lane !

  • Steve Marriott lacked an ego!!! Are you for real juliejazz?

  • @shaun69scott hahahaha what a joker stevie marriott no ego where do you get this shit from ... the man rip was a house and

    a great performer.....

  • @shaun69scott what bullshit is this steve Marriot was by no means ego less

seen him perform and really was the spill of the faces at the time, may he rest in peace.

  • @anchorrot Hello! Just my piddly thought but I think Marriott's ego was very fragile. Stewart has a much stronger constitution, Marriott never backed down to be sure & never sold himself as he genuinely lived for his music, He was devasted when Frampton left HP, never really recoveried despite HP really sounding better after. Marriott's substance abuse is part & parcel of his majour insecurities, those who shine the brightest are blinded by their light. He was the best - to me - ego or not .

  • Effin Elton John!!!- I mean Effin Elton John!!!!

Can't hold a candle (in the wind??) to Rocket ROD!!!!!

  • Rod is drop dead foxy.

  • Cheers Ronnie!!!!!!!!!!!!..Woooooooooo.

  • Comment removed

  • The Faces had an awesomely dirty rock sound, perfectly suited to Rod's voice. As great a rock voice as his predecessor Steve Marriott had, Rod one-upped him.

  • @rottenwillow No one could one up Steve Marriott. He was by far the superior vocalist, no comparison. What Steve did lack was an ego, something Stewart has in spades and it has worked well for him.

  • @rottenwillow u gotta be kiddin me! Marriot had 10 up on him!

  • what a tune, wood and stewart bitches!!!

  • NO Tetsu? That sucks :(

  • Yeah really, who's that joke playing bass in this vid? Oh wait, that's the heart and soul of the Faces..

  • heart and soul of the Faces? Why who else? Ron wood and Rod Stewart :)

  • @shoebobs Right on man, if you ask me they weren't the Faces anymore after Plonk left.....

  • Truer words were never spoken!

  • Tell'm Rod. Silly little prick. Bad ass song.

  • Love it.
