  • the lyrics don' get no better

  • Thank Dad for hours and hours of enjoyment. So many black groups had fabulous harmony. Too bad ignorant racism kept them from being the big stars they deserve to be.

  • The Rivieras are one of the greatest oldies groups of all time. Why they dont get the respect they deserve is beyond me. Homer Dunn has one of the great voices of all time. He has a unique voice that ranks with Roy Orbison and Patsy Cline.

  • @tennent68...Thanks for the kind words. You don't hear harmony like this too much anymore.

  • Hep Harmony at it's best. Love it! Thanks.

  • Thank your Dad for this Great tune!

  • These are not the Riverias I know for their huge #1 song called "California Sun". They were the only Riverias I knew when I graduated from Highschool & I couldn't of forgotten them (who would)...anyway. So who are these Riverias, are they from overseas, I would presume so! Anyway the internet has exposed so many artists that would otherwise have been completely unknown to me.....The Spotnicks being one such band. Most of them are Aussie artists & then theirs all that Rockabilly!!

  • @Ezdduf4kuZ ...Hi There, This group is from Englewood, NJ. This reason I know this, my father is the last living member of this group. He is in the bottom center.

  • @BlackGable2u2 hello to you. i just wanted to say that the rivieras, your dad's group, have become my favorite doo wop oldies group, simply because their sound was / is so incredible. which makes them absolutely current as far as i think. i include at least 1 of their tunes on any cd i make for gifts. much blessings jay

  • @BlackGable2u2 I always loved these guys! Their songs helped me through a lot of hard times. Please thank your father for me and let him know how important his group is to me!

  • @westinghouse .. Thanks for kind words and I will give my Dad the message.

  • what a awesome song. i never get tired of hearing this group and song

  • Always did like this version of a song originally done I believe back in the 1930's.

This version actually made it to number two here in OKC.

  • they made pretty music with old standards done doo wop.

  • One of the most underrated late 50's groups. Great blend of voices and great Vocalist. Take this in combination with the revision of the Old Standards and you have hit records. This was the last song of the evening for many of dances that we attended back then. I wish we could do it over again. Ron--Highway Stars Magazine

  • heard this one on the way to the senior prom with my baby.oh what a night! thanks for the post by the way i married my baby 43 years ago.

  • The R&B listeners of today are really clueless as to REAL talent by lumping together all these great artists and their music ,under the title,"oldies". Young DJ's of today as well

are not knowledgeable, as a result, they are doing themselves a great injustice.

  • Wow. This is a great one. Thanks for the post.

  • A GREAT GREAT GROUP.
