  • Beth is "hot" for a lot of us- even us girls (even tho she's str8- dammit)...

  • someone doesnt like this?...now inst that a shame.

  • What a beautiful song. Everything about this video is flawless...the production quality, the lighting, the set, the color stories, the way Beth and Ted play in perfect unison. He looks like something out the Italian Renaissance, and she's just only goregous. Just fantastic. Thanks for putting this up!

  • im attracted to her for her AIR shirt

  • i remember when this came on. I recorded this episode and watch it over and over and over lol. this was my introduction to Beth Orton. truly amazing

  • Just for awhile. That's all it would take.

  • Wouldn't mind to be knocked off my feet for a while. Need to find someone like her.

  • Such a beautiful song, I haven't heard it in ages. Its so sad, yet it is strangely consoling.

  • what eventually made me feel attracted to her is her AIR Shirt. A band I admire for over 11 years now!

  • what really made me attracted to her is the AIR TShirt...

  • damn, that's awesome

  • Awesome!

  • I was fortunante to find someone on ebay selling a bootleg of her entire performance from "Sessions"...seriously pissed that my CD player ate it before I could realize making copies was neccessary as you can't find it anywhere. The whole performance was amazing, even in the low quality boot.

  • We in Australia love the Beth, man how cool would it be to see her in a session at "The Basement"...thanx for post, aint seen it b4,very appreciative! Gots to get me back to the sounds~~~PS If u eva find live vids of this, plz post, can find anything here

  • This is my FAVORITE Beth O. song. :) Love the Beth...

  • Loveeeeeeeeee this song...

  • if someone like me is lucky ,i can wish to find a single , attractive girl that "knock me off my feet" on here hahahahah

  • This video just "knocks me off my feet for awhile" ! Am I the only one that loves this, the best performance on youtube, hand down.

  • Nope. I'm just as amazed.

  • It's funny. I keep finding myself watching this one again and again. It has that "thing ' i love about Beth. A certain intensity. I have this show on my ipod now and hear ut all the time, but I still like to watch it once in a while. Go Beth!

  • This is awesome. Beth is now a few years older (haha, we all are too) but her live show last year was awesome (Danforth Theatre in Toronto) - if you get a chance, see her.

  • Keep it on the tt, augwest, but what you want is an audio hijacking program and a sound editing program. Then you can make an ok recording of anything you can listen to.

  • Dude, trading in live shows is bootlegging, not pirating. Big difference! Anyway, i found the show online and now have it. It's from Sessions at West 54th from 1998. Beth stuff is fairly hard to come by.

  • Just love these clips from this show. Would love to get an audio copy. I've never seen it on an internet bootleg site. Anybody know where to find it?

  • its Beth doing her thing acoustic .

  • Wow, that version is really magic, especially the outro from 5:05 onwards. The audience must have been afraid to breath...

  • She's so hot in a cute kinda way. *sigh*

  • it's the first time i've heard this version and have to say that it's brilliant. it's a bit different but it's probably better than the album version.

  • GREAT!

  • brilliant!!!

  • its nice and great like this, but album version that i heard first and after looong time recently has something...more...

    what you guys think?

  • Yep, album version much better...not liking the key...or the guitar arpeggios..not doing anything for me at all this..

  • on the cd this song has a long dreamy intro you can zone out to

  • somehow I got addicted to this song. didn't even realise till I found myself humming it constantly.. it's just stuck in my head

  • what a shame only 4500 people have seen this ( actually less because i've seen it at least 5 times)

  • This has to be one of the best pieces of music ever written.

    Thanks for uploading this.

  • cant stop listen it sometimes...

  • Love these clips from this performance. Excellent quality! Where can I get it? Is it released on dvd or availible by download anywhere?

  • I`m glad you enjoy the clips. I uploaded them because I couldn`t find them available for purchase anywhere. They were recorded off Television in the late 90s from the excellent show "Sessions At West 54th". Some of the shows are still available on DVD but I I have never seen any of the Beth Orton performances available unfortunately.

  • is that original?

i remember that some guy was singing that...

  • Written by Beth Orton as far as I know. From her 1996 debut album "Trailer Park". I haven`t seen or heard anyone else perform it, although I`d like to.

  • written by Beth with Ted Barnes (on guitar here) and Ali Friend, not seen any covers anywhere but would love to be proved wrong

  • no no.. my mistake.. album version sounds different.. so..it was her all the time:)

  • i was surching soooo long..... thank you!!!!

  • Beth yet again shows how amazing her musical talent is.
