@mofunzonecom not neccessarily, 3s-ge offers a lot of advantages. The weight savings alone are close to 300lbs between engine and transmission. Not to mention that the 4 cylinder is a lot shorter than the I6 so the weight is shifted towards the center of the car. The reduction of weight at the front will bring about a much better turn in and balance. With the weight reduction you will also increase your stopping distances. If it was a straight line car, yes switching = fail...

@LonewolfSaichi It'd be an undesireable swap for the simple fact that the U.S. spec IS300 was targeted toward a different market (BMW 328i at the time of its introduction), and hence came as a "more refined" (more sound deadened, hence heavier) car under the Lexus marque. Putting a high-strung 3s-ge's into the heavier IS300 would be like swapping an ITR B18C into a Prelude (assuming this was possible). It misses the point of both the ITR or the Prelude.

@DtEW yeah, if you look at the IS300 (Altezza) you can easily see how Toyota was targeting the BMW 3-series. Many auto manufactures use the 3-series as a benchmark, but Toyota really left their design on the side in order to build the IS300. The current IS250/350 are a bit more Lexus/Toyota and not so much us-too cars. The IS300 had the worst guages; they were designed to look like a sport analog watch, but were hard as $h!t to read at a glance (cluttered and small numbers). I almost bought

this guy was one of the weakest drivers takumi raced against in 4 th stage . ryousuke told him to allow nobuhiko to keep up with him but he was defeated at the 1st hairpin. im wondering what are the specs for nobuhikos altezza i want to recreate his car in forza motor sport 3 .

Toyota Altezza is the Lexus IS on Japanese market, it has a bit different engines and interior.
