I live literally a block over from one of the sirens here in Burleson. They test these every so often, and I absolutely hate waking up to hearing that creepy booming voice going "This Is Only A Test". I work a night shift right now, so when they tested it this week, I woke up freaked out. Sometimes it's kinda cool though to just stand outside while they're testing it and listen to just how loud that voice really is, lol.

UGH those sirens can get annoying especially when its mostly false alarms but I guess they have to have some way to warn us.

@TheDumbening umm most of the time there not false alarms they are either tests or a "thunderstorm CAPABLE of producing a tornado" even if there is no tornado on the ground its for your own good

The first time those went off after I moved to Burleson, I started running around crazy, gathering up my kids ready to "take shelter immediately"! Wish I would have known not to take it serious! And then on top of the sirens, the city calls like 15 minutes later with a recorded message saying the same thing! If it were a real tornado, it would have come and gone by then!

They're suppost to SCARE YOU into going inside! That's why they're like that. lol. I can't believe you posted a video with the tornado sirens. What about the severe thunderstorm warning sirens, huh? Where IS THAT? Because that one is stupid. They'll sound it off and there's barely any clouds in the sky! And it doesn't even rain the whole day!! Are we suppost to be warned a day in advance?

Actually those talking sirens are in Crowley, TX as well. Burleson and Crowley are somewhat close to each other so they probably use the same warning system.

Those sirens have their own built in chill factor!! CREEEEPY!!  At least they let us know about bad weather; as much as I hate severe wx, I do appreciate the sirens keeping us abreast!

i live over behind Stribling. and there's one right by the school. i feel so bad for the people in my neighborhood because the majority of them are over 65 so it probably scares the hell out of them and then there's no tornado...really not even a bad storm.
