  • George doesn't seem to know what he's doing....<3 <3 <3

  • @luvureally @OropherThranduil The Beatles and the acts Motown produced are both legendary. Stop arguing like 5 year olds.

  • I love George.

  • they're totally goofing here with each othere. Probably warming up or something. Compare to the studio version on "Meet the Beatles". They were serious there. Anybody who knows anything about the band knows they were dynamite, even without studio enhancement. How many people posting here ever saw them live as a group or any of them individually as solos? I have done both. I SAW THE BEATLES. Have seen them individually too....they are/were AWESOME..always will be.

  • Ah, they were totally goofing in this video, anybody can see that.......

  • It's like being there with them... And it looks so familiar!!!

  • You treat me badly,

    I love you madly ...

  • george is so confused<3

  • The best singer in the room, Billy Preston, not singing a note!

  • @luvureally

Jokes are always welcomed on beatles videos.

  • @OropherThranduil Come on, Preston could sing them all under the table on any given day. They knew that so that is why he isn't singing.

  • @luvureally

    simply no.

He stood absolutely no chance against John or paul.

and he isn't singing because he was brought to the sessions to play organ, since it should be recorded with live feeling without overdubs and to lessen the friction in the band, not to sing.

He was there to do what they wanted him to do.

Nothing more and nothing less, not to get any musical input into it.

  • @OropherThranduil Of course he was paid to play the organ, that was his job with the Beatles, I know that. But he was still a far superior singer than any of them. John nor Paul has ever put down a vocal as great as Preston's "Thats The Way God Planned It". Neither had his vocal range.

  • @luvureally

Like Aerosmith would say: Dream On.

John sang everything from Julia to I want you and Mother.

Paul sang everything from Yesterday/Blackbird to helter Skelter Oh darling.

Preston dreamed of having such a versatile voice.

  • @OropherThranduil Great songwriters who sang every song in the same monotone voices. This is awful!

  • @luvureally

    Fuck you and shut up.

i right now presented you with 2 songs for each of them were they sang so different that robert plant can go fuck himself for versatility.

Preston was good, but nothing above the average motown acts of the 60s.

  • @OropherThranduil "average motown acts'? Man the janitors at Motown sang better than these guys. Billy Preston with strep throat and laryngitis sang better.

  • @luvureally

No, Motown acts were good for one genre each.

very limited, the beatles are the most versatile band of all time.

and you just go fuck yourself, or better kill yourself.

go lick motown acts dicks on motown videos and stop sspammming beatles videos with your wrong opinions.

  • @OropherThranduil So emotional! So that is the source of your problem playing with your little itty bitty self all by yourself?! You're too easy!

  • 0:29 wow strong beautiful singing

  • 1:15 0_o

  • 1:32 - 1:38 - awesome

  • nunca habia visto esta version, se la pasaban jugando,,,,

  • Fuckin LSD or is it their ego at this point? its all good though!

  • Amazing! All those years later (Good compared to their attempt at Help!)

  • This is awesome <3

  • love the organ

  • love that song and am moved tremendously by the fact that they clearly love it too - almost ashamedly but nonetheless

  • This is really funny. :)

  • George kinda looks like paul sometimes

  • @eaglestalon92 ehm -- yeah, if you close your eyes AND look the other way :) JK

  • @wojiaokatya lol that made me laugh

  • This is MESSED up!

  • george looks soooooooooo stoned in this,is it wrong that i love him looking so wrecked?

  • @mechrissiedavids Oh George was really stoned during the Let it Be sessions. Listen to his song 'For you blue' on the album and he's ultra stoned, giggling during solos and slurring his words.

  • @mechrissiedavids george was not stoned... thos was after his decision for hare Krishna... at this point in time he was clean

  • This is the best song ever written and the Beatles just made it better...

  • at 1:25 does john forget the lyrics or does George? george gives him a weird look.

  • one fucker vote thnumps down :(

    go watch pokemon

  • they look and sound like they need a nice long vacation....

  • I love this video!

  • Well..... I wish I was sitting on georgie.

  • George seems so drugged it's sad.

  • Comment removed

  • @dorotheainmiddle That's not true. Did you see his face, he looks jolly as fuck. I would be too if I were George Harrison

  • This was played just for the playing and having fun with. Or maybe they longed for the early days when everything was so nice and uncomplicated.

  • Hell George is so attractive ... my Favourite Beatle

  • I wish I was there. Listening to them jam. sitting right next to georgie.

  • when I first got into the Beatles.......I thought this was the original version xD I like it though lol

  • rare to find any harmony in music today;none like the beatles!

  • wow, this vid is totally amazing! I swear I felt like i was right there with them as I watched. It was like 2:33 minutes in heaven for me.. it was that amazing.. :]

  • George Harrison is a marvel of bone structure, I simply must do a sculpture of him one day...

Not that I need any more of an excuse for staring at him all time... Oh darling, isn't it marvelous when the universe gives a person a body that is as beautiful as their mind? George is just the perfect example of that...

  • @devaom420 No kidding! Amazing cheek bones ... amazing hands .... *sigh*

  • its not a rehearsal this video is from let it be movie in apple studios 1969 they just playing for fun

  • que grande George!! george harrison forever!!

  • wow, through all of their different styles of music they can still sing one of their early songs in such an amazing, albeit different, way. also, i very much enjoy this video of george's face. haha!

  • rod stewart rulez

  • This is the BBCs Sounds of the 60s Beatles A to Z song for week start 13JUN10 where the history of this song is given It can be heard for one week after Jun13 by going to the site It is 36 mins into the prog & includes an interview with John who says how they were influenced by Tamla Motown

  • I like this version better, it's not so tight. And in the beginning the vocal chords are so beautiful.

  • They need to put "Let It Be" on DVD. This is video gold!

  • @ozbocfan the greatest gift rock and roll ever got was the electric guitar. Then john

  • Not a rehearsal as much as a jam. So much fun though!

  • Lennon's voice is straight from heaven, the greatest gift rock and roll ever recieved.

  • I love George! :D especially in 1:22 ;)

  • is that John who sings so out of tune? love them anyways! :-)

  • @darksideofdarkness

LOL i think that was Geroge.

  • George Harrison looks like my father

  • @Maugolek Is your father single... j/k. ;)

  • Magic..safe to say that "THIS" is still better than anything new out there now.

  • George was the only one taking it seriously. There were glimmers of brilliance here, but John just had to ruin it with his hilarity.

  • @superman11978 what happened here is they started the song in a different key than they originallly recorded it in years earlier and no one said hey its the wrong key they just rolled with it,,,IF they had started it on the right key this video would have been magical

  • good chance they were, but when your the beatles. . it really doesnt matter. regardless of the drugs, they created amazing music. Music so good, people have still not been able to let go of it, 40+ years later. . .

  • @gloria7994 As a matter of fact, it is quite likely that they were on drugs. It is a testament to the magic of mixing in the studio that they were able to produce an album as good as "Abbey Road."

As for "sucking," I can tell you, in concert, they DID suck. I was a witness on Aug. 21, 1966 in Cincinnati. Here's link to some of that footage. Actual sound from that day comes late in the vid, and is brief, thankfully.

  • @StvMcQueen1 I think they acknowledged themselves that their live performances suffered, especially during the '66 tour, partly due to their own disinterest (coupled with the fact that no one would have been able to hear them over the screaming fangirls). By that point, the concerts were a charade more than anything.

  • @firebreeze the beatles admitted they suffered musically cuz of that

  • @TyLerDurDen2333 Yes, I know, I said as much in my comment. They realized how much their music was suffering because of touring, so they stopped touring and went back to the studio, where they could focus more on their playing/songwriting versus the obligations of their fame.

  • @StvMcQueen1

well, sorry, i got, like some others i think also, every available source of their last US tour, and they rock ,especially trhe last concert in san francisco, they never sucked, even while playing in concert hell they rocked out, i think you think they sucked because you couldn't hear them, like bruce kulick put it, who saw their 66 show at shea, he could barely hear out two songs they played, but from what he could hear they rocked.

  • @OropherThranduil You are quite right about not hearing the music. The "sound systems" of yesteryear left much to be desired. We heard most of what we heard in '66 through small "bullhorn" style speakers mounted on the poles at the ball park. But, that aside, it also was quite obvious that the Beatles were very travel-weary, and they put little effort into the performance. So, I stick to my original opinion: That day in Aug. '66, they sucked. But, yes, their music totally rocks.

  • @StvMcQueen1

i mean under the circumstances they rocked hard, i mean they were able to keep the songs together, and that withoujt hearing one another, it was like 4 guys happening to play the same song onstage without having a clue what the others were doing, and still they kept the songs together, which most other bands couldn't have done, i mean no other band had fans so loud, i mean stones or beach boys shows of those days are also loud, but not beatlemania loud, early beach boys live rocks!!

  • @gloria7994 I don't think it will let me post the link here. It's easy to find in a search, because whoever posted it misspelled "Cincinnati." Search for THE BEATLES CINCINNATTI YouTube. You'll find it.

  • Looks like George was the only one with a good "hold" on the lyrics. I love this, awesome jam session. :)

  • @xemily91 That's one thing that John always acknowledged 'they despite their personal differences etc., could really play well together'

  • Hey folks, Smokey Robinson & The Miracles did this song, and it's release was November 1962. John Lennon always said he could NEVER duplicate Smokey Robinson's stuff, although he tried. The Beatles version is also featured in the Beatles Let it Be movie, which to this date, to the best of my knowledge, still hasnt been released on DVD.

  • I love george. He definitely pulls off the long hair/ mustache style the best.

  • drunk or stoned but surely relaxed and not forgetting any song (apart from the lyrics...) they played in the early days...

    All of their songs remain.

Nice to watch this seems exceptional...

  • A woman must have been taping this.. the camera stays on George's perfect face most of the time.. lol He is really something

  • #Something in the way, George moves...

..attracts me like no other Beatle# ;)

  • lol love it!

  • haha Love that comment! You cheered me right up thanks. :)

  • Aw, your welcome :) Though, I'm sure George can do a better job of cheering you up :P You seen his video for 'Any Road'? Has me smirking every time ;)

  • @stacyface28 lol and if John would shower and cut his hair he might have been filmed more xD

  • @stacyface28

Heck if I was in that room, I couldn't keep my eyes off George either! And he could sing it solo without the other guys interrupting! :-)

  • @stacyface28 Tell me about it :) Why would the camera go anywhere else?

  • hahahaha The face of George! My love, is so sweet!. Them needed more rehearsals...:P

  • its billy preston you fool if u knew any better he was with the beatles during the whole get back sessions!

  • you mean the 'let it be' sessions? don't call someone a fool when you can't even name the album correctly

  • Back in the time this film was being filmed it was going to be called 'Get Back' because the Beatles were 'getting back' to simple unedited, not overdubbed music (Phil Spector fucked that up), which was so prominent in Sgt Peppers. Because of this, it is still referred to by many as the 'Get Back sessions'.

  • @dakizz......the album was gonna be called Get Back. Which it was, but never released in the US, but I do have a bootleg of it. And for the most part, I agree with John Lennon. Spector took an awful piece of shit (the Let it Be album) and turned it into a beautiful piece of shit. Kinda a backwards comment, be he knew a lot better than me of course. Although I personally think Spector destroyed "The Long & Winding Road" by adding all those soupy strings and orchestral shit.

  • @Kenoman29 Hi I agree with the strings though it is hard to imagine the song without them. I believe at the time that Paul was less than impressed also. Phil loved his famous '[wall of sound' thing so much he couldn't see past it at all, even though truthfully the Beatles were always looking for new sounds and ideas

  • no they were also called the get back sessions... search it up noob

  • ha ha! some text problems!? :DD love this video!!

  • There are a couple clips of the Beatles doing this song--one a 15 second concert shot--the other after some talk on the BBC-1964. They are Great!!

  • This is awesome.

She & Him also do a great cover of this song

  • Is that Billy Preston playing at the pianos?

  • It is indeed.

  • damn straight that's Billy Preston

  • that is not a piano

    its an organ

    paul is on a piano

  • They had already recorded this with the right lyrics, don't be a bitch... This is just a jam between friends...

  • Smokey and The Miracles did it first (and the did it fantastically)...because DUH...Smokey wrote it. The Fab (Beatles) did a GREAT version.

  • dude chill its just one of their laidback jam sessions they had u can see in the beggining they werent expecting to play it until george does the opening melody

  • they really didnt have their hearts in this one...its almost kinda sad to watch...i think at this point ...they were really starting to grow apart and all wanted to be on their own and prove themselves as individuals!

  • this is from the "let it be film" and like every other song in the movie once the music stopped they all went back to pouting and sulking.

  • One of those spontaneous moments of joy...Thanks

  • Ohhhh George!!! <3

Y ya ni se la sabian ! XD

  • fantastic beatles forever

  • LMAO. sounds like they were drunk, their ealier version is much better. what happened....

  • They're just jammin'.

  • love them!!!!

  • This footage is so cute. I can't take my eyes off George.

  • he was always so beautiful

  • OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS.

I loved George and always have thought he was SO UNappreciated. He was so fine and cool.

  • they sound like they are yelling...with feeling! lol!

    MAN I LOVE THEM!

  • 1:53 they sound drunk haha

  • watching george makes me smile, he is too gorgeous.. ♥

  • Does anyone know if this is available as a music file? It's not in the Anthology. I really want to be able to listen to this on my iPod. REALLY want to be able to.

  • You mean this actual version or their recorded version of it?

  • this is a mess but is still pure gold.

    I love it.

  • My favorite part of the movie. I love the way George sings his heart out!

  • this is pure soul and feeling!! amazing

  • How fucking cool does George look?

  • haha i love them! they are all singing different parts of the song.

    iloveyou<3

  • i love how they sang a song on their SECOND ALBUM in like what, 1970?

  • Their second album was "With the Beatles" from november 1963. This sons is the only one duo from John & George.

  • OK it was their third if you count the Vee Jay release... Man was John singing lead on those tracks or what

  • Sorry, but the Vee Jay release are only in the States, not UK and Europe. So, the first official LP was Please, Please Me, the second, Whith the Beatles, 3: A hard day's nigth, 4, Beatles for sale, and so on.

  • Sorry, "song" not "sons".

  • OOOOooooooooo I love them madly, they really have a hold on me...My hearts so sad now, I know their gone now, but they really have a hold on me. OOOOOooooooo Don't want to kiss you, but I do miss you.... You really had a hold on me. I want to split now but just can't quit now, they really have a hold on me.....really have a hold on me. *bows

  • this is such a beautiful little clip. i love 1:27 when george sort of takes the song into his own hands for a second. he seems to remember the lyrics better than john does.

god, i love george so much.

  • This is awesome!!!

  • not george

  • i love how george seems to be looking at john with such love and patience, trying to remind him of the lyrics; johns talent oozes but he is goofing around a little, one foot out the door already: not at 00:53 however where he just blows me away with that voice...

  • Just love that interraction between John and George. God bless them. Wish they were still here

  • my love is strong now...

  • ooH MY SOUL....!!!!!!

  • ohh my soul
