This is so great. I've been a Dean Koontz fan since the early eighties, and LOVE these little web synopsis! I also grew up on Staten Island, Midland beach, actually, and its great to see someone from my hometown involved in his books this way. Amazing! Beautiful job!
I particularly love the Odd Thomas Webisodes, beautifully done.
Super duper duper genius vid! haha, besides being atmospheric in its 30 seconds; I loved the graphic match and morphing from the post it on the table, to the actual book cover.

I never even read Dean Koontz books, but by seeing this commercial, which I didn't know was a 'book' commercial til the very end..I thought it I was going to see a short youtube video and looks like a very good movie trailer...BRAVO!!! If i only saw your trailer i would think that tim had watched the cop leave and then torn his shirt off to reveal a suit that had GG written on it. your video work is great but this guy has not made up his mind to be anything yet. i hope you don't take this wrong I loved your art it is the interpretation i am ? good luck and wear the t-shirt proud with or without the prize!

I'm sorry I didn't make myself clear, i meant that at the end of chapter two tim is in the tightest spot he's been in since birth and will probably be trying to figure a way out of his newly aquired mess, the assignment was to interpret the 1st 2 chapters, not the whole book. also, considering the humility of Koontz' characters, i doubt tim will ever say "I'm the good guy" as much as he will discover that despite his fears he can still be one. all that said your video still cooks

sorry brawnylads - i wrote you with my friend's account before. I use Vegas Video for everything. all my editing and compression. It's by far the best editing software I have ever used. Sory Final Cut. I sacrificed image quality for sound during the compresion, because I feel sound is the MOST important part of a film. For some reason people can forgive poor image quality more quickly then poor sound.
I like you graphics. I didn't know we could use that book graphic from the website though. I thought the rules said you could only use the package materials. Oh well, I didn't even finish mine for the competition. Good Luck!

I accidently came across this link looking for information on "the Good Guy". If this is a contest entry then I am impressed. Originally I thought this was the real deal comerical for the book, but then I saw many others. This is incredible for an amature film entry. This get's my vote for the best. It is a compliment to be sure. This is only my third contest and it is great to see some of the other entries. Heres me looking at some of the videos; Ahem... "That sucks... not bad... I like the way that looked but mine is better... holy mother of God!! How the heck can I beat that!!?" I gave it a five as well. Great vid and good luck.
WOW!! This was pretty awesome. It seem a bit dark, but I suspect that was youtube, because most of the entries we all a bit dark. Anyway, this is definitly the best entry so far. It does a GREAT job making me want to read the book. I hope this wins.

It is a compliment to be sure. This is only my third contest and it is great to see some of the other entries. Heres me looking at some of the videos; Ahem... "That sucks... not bad... I like the way that looked but mine is better... holy mother of God!! How the heck can I beat that!!?" I gave it a five as well. Great vid and good luck.

WOW!! This was pretty awesome. It seem a bit dark, but I suspect that was youtube, because most of the entries we all a bit dark. Anyway, this is definitly the best entry so far. It does a GREAT job making me want to read the book. I hope this wins.

Thanks SOOOOO much. "So far" are two very scary words... Of all the film competitions I've done, the BEST of the BEST always comes in on the last day or two of the competition. I fully expect to see some amazing entries this week. I can only hope that ours can compete in the end. Thanks again!
