Comedy teams are about chemistry .I agree Huff is very talented, but with Stapes and now Jackie they all become greater than the sum of their parts. And while Huff has great command of the microphone his life is far less interesting. As outrageous as Stapes's stories are they never feel made up, and it never feels like he is "trying" to be shocking.

The brutal truth is that Huff has potential, and is quite funny, but Stapleton (probably a really nice guy, in real life) is neither talented nor funny. Sadly, if this show progresses, and money is put behind it, Stapleton will have to go and a much better sidekick must take his place. Hollywood truth stings, I know.
Stapes is much more talented than people give him credit for. His improv skills are very underrated and I think he doesn't get the attention Huff does simply bec Huff usually dominates the mic a little more. Not that there's anything wrong with that IMO. I think the show is brilliant
different strokes for different folks, and fortunately most people have different strokes than you. Stapes is hilarious, Huff is hilarious, and together they are unstoppable.
I think the saddest thing is that Huff knows the hangers-on are a bunch of goons, but when Stapleton writes a bad joke on facebook and comes back 5 minutes later to 12 'like this' and 15 comments he actually feeds his ego off these worms (you're his friends are you? sure, i bet he got this feedback a year ago). You hangers-on suck, because in a few year's time Stapelton might be despressed and crying for out for help, and they'll be no comments and no one will 'like this'. You'll have moved on.
Not i'm not. It may be a Hollywood cliche, but the cliche's being played out here, in small way, for everyone to see. Stapleton will think he's been betrayed by the hangers-on worms, especially as they'll direct their sycophantic comments to someone else. It happens every day in this town and it's very sad.
Sorry Tim, I understand you dont get/like Stapes' humor, thats ok. You are making a very basic false assumption that you are 'right' and everyone else is 'wrong.' Some people love Dane Cook, others hate him; some love Michael Ian Black.. I could go on and on. The fact that you don't get it, or dont like it, or whatever, doesn't make your opinion the correct one. I'll go out on a limb here and say that Stapes' comedy regularly hits my funny bone much harder than Scott's, sometimes it doesn't.
You're going 'out on a limb' saying sometimes Stapes is funnier, sometimes Huff is funnier? Wow, how is it out there on the edge? Waiting to see who falls? And sure, everyone's entitled to an opinion. The language of reality and dellusion are both guarunteed under the 1st A.
