To say Kobe is simply top 10 is blasphemous of MJ...but if there's ANYBODY who can rank a player lower than what he should be, its him.

This argument is irrelevant. Kobe has played with far superior talent than say a Lebron James and Kobe has won all his titles with ALL star caliber big men and great role players. Lebron is 5x better than Kobe. From 2004-post 07 before gausol, Kobe proved he was not capable of carrying a team. IN 07 at age 22 Lebron led a cavs team to the finals without any talent around him. A lottery team at best to the finals. Kobe talk when you can carry a team!!!

It's interesting, though because the Lakers were so far superior to everybody else in the league because their top two was that much better because they played on both ends of the court. Each team they played only had 2 Hall of Fame players at most..Pacers had old Reggie and ancient Chris Mullin, Sixers had Iverson and scrubs, Nets had Jason Kidd and young players and scrubs. They never faced great teams whereas MJ beat a host of players, Drexler, Barkley and Magic, Payton/Kemp, Stockton/Malone

It turned out that the best and perhaps only traditional in the league in his prime, Shaq, was also his teammate. Since Shaq was huge in size, personality, and game, Kobe's accomplishments were overshadowed. However, when you look at the league and matchups, both Kobe and Shaq were basically the best at their positions.

Kobe is a victim of his era...everybody wanted to be like MJ and there was a rush to crown the next MJ, but unfortunately all of those players tried to copy his offense. Carter, McGrady, Iverson were all superb offensive players but never developed defense, and they all played and crap teams. Meanwhile, Webber and Garnett never developed into dominate big men that could take over in a 4th quarter and so forth.

I could easily bring up Magic assist numbers to counter that, but it's besides the point. Magic was an all-around better player who changed the game. Magic Johnson could pass better than kobe, rebound better than kobe, post up because of his size, he could play every position on the floor (as you saw in the finals), he's a champion, can dominate the game by only taking ten shots, and i don't think you see any expert sayin that kobe i better than magic.
