And yeah, as per most of what's in this adventure: they're all references to jokes between me and some some friends. The "S and S" is the Science and Spore section on the Spore Forums, and the Emoticone is something of a joke (and also now a group). Most of the characters in this adventure are members of the Science and Spore forum and the Emoticone Group (The ECF).
