Hedningarna are a brilliant group , love their songs ( even if i can't understand them ) , the tunes are really catchy . Anyone that likes Hedningarna ( if they haven't already ) checkout Eluveitie ' Omnos ' or ' Inis Mona ' .
@niall2910 thank you for sharing - I can't understand a word but I love their music; I laugh as the words sound so fascinating then you find out about the one-night stand..HA still good.
@aatox I Love the intesity in Hedningarnas songs too! They've propably had too much to drink both of them in the lyrics.
In ancient times songs were sung to educate. This song was propably perfect to frighten young women to not let "the dance" go too far when they're allowed to the grown up's celebrations and about to drink the first times...
Tuli mies tuo minua taas hakemaan
parketille villisti notkuuman
harmaat silmät minua tarkkan tutkaa
tanssittaako prisessaa vai lutkaa
kuuma huuma tuo tunteen nostatti
katse, jonka suo, veren kuumensi
viereltänsä näin aamull´heräsin
vaatteet keräsin, vatiin oksensin

djPaigeRailstone 9 months ago 7
@djPaigeRailstone It says "Tanssittaako prisessaa vai lutkaa" (Translation: "Is he dancing with a princess or a whore?")

So, yeah, it's about having a drunken one night stand and sort of captures a certain mood perfectly. Great song.

He came to ask me for a dance, again
To sway wildly on the floor
Grey eyes search me intently
Is he dancing with a princess or a whore?
The hot atmosphere creates a feeling
His eyes on me heat up my blood
Thus I wake up beside him in the morning
Gather my clothes, throw up in a basin.

GREETINGS FROM MADRID....WE LOVE THIS MUSIC. Could anyone translate the lyrics?.....cheers from spain.
MrMermers 1 year ago
@MrMermers i found a translation of the lyrics. kind of wrong grammar, but this is the translation i have just found.
Now, that man, he came again to ask me
In a dance so wild I let him lead me
Searching through my eyes all grey and shady
Was he dancing with a whore or lady?
Fever in my blood now did he make me feel
Pierced through my brain and heart with eyes of steel
By his side to dawning did I then wake up
So picked up my clothing, in a bowl threw up.

Lovely and energetic, although the lyrics are quite harsh.
