  • One of the most egregious examples was the fight, close to 50 years, to bring the majestic wolves back (just a dozen or so of them) to one tiny national park, in America. Before the Europeans arrived in the "new world," for example, there're tens of thousands of wolves across America & yet, the majestic wolves & bisons (once numbered in the 10s of millions) were practically killed off by the early 1900s...

  • ..While Europe & America and the people who live there --- the most developed & richest, & supposedly the "most educated" people... these 2 continents which also HAD big majestic animals in the past, too --- had killed off most or all of theirs 200 years ago, and every square inch has been measured and sold off to private owners, to do as they please....

  • Saddest of all, more than 90% the largest, most majestic animals' natural habitats, in the "wild," are forcibly taken over by humans for human use, due to our 7B population explosion. But people must NOT ignorantly blame poor third world folks, as almost all of the planets majestic animals are found mostly only in third world countries....

  • How sad that such a beautiful little girl should be born into the confinement of a zoo managed by people wielding weapons calld "bullhooks". She deserves better than a life in captivity.

  • @CreamyDove I understand your point but I think its time to re evaluate human's relationship with wild animals. We are the dominant species and we are changing the planet - which is quite natural as many species do. We should take animals into our care and provide a safe environment, ensure good health and treat them with compassion.

Captivity isn't necessarily bad, so long as we must ensure a good environment for them.

  • @CreamyDove

they aren't wielding anything, they aren't bullhooks they are called ankus's and are used as a guide only. if you visited the zoo and saw the interactions with the keepers you wouldn't make such ill informed comments

  • @CreamyDove You mean like out in the gunsights of poachers?

  • @CreamyDove I totally agree with you. Despite all the food & "comfort" humans give to most of their captive animals (in officially certified, "good" zoos), viewing these giant, majestic, & highly intelligent animals (be they tigers, lions, giraffes, elephants, etc.) in tiny spaces (like humans being forced by a superior aline to live all of our whole lives in 15x30ft cells, with all the food & "comfort" we want, of course) saddens me to no end.

  • This is just wonderful - I must get to the zoo to see the darling little thing. Well done.

  • Thanks for the post. You have a wonderful profile!

  • Beautiful footage of the little girl! Nice music to go with it as well! Thanks for sharing these precious moments! :>)

    Greetings from Chicago
