Almost EVERYTHING in the game was better Pre-1.3:

Conquest felt more worthwhile and rewarding.

PvP was more balanced and felt like there was more variety

The weapons system was more balanced where you had to sacrifice some capabilities being very good for others being even better. This helped make there be more variety in gameplay.

I really miss the old graphical style.

There's something about the lighting filter or the shaders that make the colors and style pop more, like an animated movie that the current version doesn't have. These graphics are recognizable, the current ones are a dime a dozen.

Also, the old animations (like when he pulls out his axe) are sadly forgotten.

@BVargas78 Well I may try it out... but seriously the vids don't look promissing. But this might be deceeving, gonna try out trial. Remember fable - it also seemed like very flashy game, but in the end it was quite awesome.

@YuriPRIME the game plays well, it's much like the tribes game with the jetpacks crossed with unreal tournament. The gameplay is also similar to Team Fortress2 but i kind of prefer GA because the maps are bigger and the jetpacks are fun to use.

The highlight of the game for the higher lvel players is the AvA (agency vs agency) conflicts in which the agencies fight over hex based maps, the combat is very tactical and you can use vehicles. The game is relatively cheap too so i recommend it.

@YuriPRIME I feel like it's a very under-rated game. With that said, it's pretty week Levels 1 - 15. Strategically you are at a disadvantage, I never broke higher than middle of the pack once all was said and done in PvP, but I think once I broke lvl 21 22-ish... I am always near the top if not the top and the game starts getting really good.

@InspieringEpicVideos no all the weapons and armour can all be obtained by people not paying the monthly fee, the monthly fee just gives you access to agency vs agency (ava) combat, an auction house, and when 1.3 comes out more open pvp and pve areas and another way to gain the secondary currency (which is for buying some unlockable weps)

Global Agenda in my view.

PvE : Lame. If youre looking for good PvE stuff. Look else where. FYI I like games like Killing Floor and even in that regards GA PvE is boring.

PvP: TF2 future with WoW like skill tree. A level 1 can beat a level 20, but he has lower energy (ammo, construction power etc).

AvA: Same as PvP, but on a risk strat map your Clan can control areas of. Not tried it yet.

Q is. Is it worth paying monthly for? Because PvP alone is not worth the game price....

I would disagree when i played planetside in the early day's you could not go anywhere without fighting and base raids going on.. The problem with instances is it's too restrictive and the numbers are too small...

Also it's too much like the formula used in wow and just because it works there it dont mean it will work here..

@capuk3, you pay for the game once to get all the normal PvE and PvP game modes, and all the items, and pretty much everything normal, and then, you can also pay an optional monthly fee which gives you access to Conquest mode, which is fighting for huge portions of the world, and alliance vs alliance battles, which I believe is up to 60 vs 60 player battles.

Okay thanks, because I might switch on and off, because i still like WoW and one of my "achievements" in there is kind of a nice honor to stand with, but I really wanted to play an MMOTPS or FPS, something that involves more than knowing the order and times to press hotkeys, but to aim. I thought Age of Conan sounded perfect, but it sounded close to WoW and stil fantasy like, this game looks perfect, I signed up for the closed beta, hopefully I get in..
