Lucky *******. I can't even find a shiny after hours of the PokeRadar method with my hidden ID, and yet there are insanely lucky people like you out there who get shiny legendaries without even trying...

The question is, however, that if your hidden ID is good enough to make that happen, I wonder how easy it'd be for you to hunt shinies w/ the radar like the rest of us mere mortals...

I don't play that much either anymore, but there was a time I hunted for the shinies in hopes of trading one off @ the WTC for one of the online promos I missed. I remember using every trick in the book from static to swarm and kept breaking the chain at around 30 no matter what I did. At any rate, there's no such thing as luck in video games-- it all depends on what you put as your name, and which copy of the game you own. And you must have a winning pair.

Also note that shiny pokemon CAN appear BEFORE 40th chain. I caught a shiny ponyta 29th chain, while, shiny starly 37th chain.

It depends. If you find a certain pokemon you want to chain, remember what patch you found it in. If you found it in a sparkly patch, chain sparkly patches and so on. Shiny patches kinda sparkle and glow like i this video. Good Luck :)
