I think they call it a dime because of the specs but I got to admit, it does cash in to have a great guitar player's name (like Dime) on a guitar cause it will surely sell. In the end, I think they should have made like some tribute guitars, by this I mean, guitars he would have used, and copies from his guitars.

my spider 2 75 watt is extemly good.

BUT! dont use the presets they do suck, i had to really mess with the settings, then i got a raw, powerful tone, and punchy shimmering cleans. but it is effort.

I have a Spider 3 30w and I'm very happy. Don't like the Metal channel, but I don't use it anyways. I think it's great for downtuning (I have my Ibby 7 at Drop-A), since it gives a clear but growling tone, even with the stock Ibby crap-ups. I'm changing pups though, just need the money.

Ya know, The Fender G-DEC and G-DEC 30 are pretty cool. I use them a lot. Very "tweakable!"

Yes, highly recommended. Not perfect, but excellent value & tone/fx for the buck! That being said, they're only excellent IF you have NO PROBLEM with tweaking every stage of the signal path! Also, the cabinet-modeling section (which Fender calls Timbre) is very important to the sound! Some "Timbres" suck-ass, while a few are perfectly suitable! Also, with some of the cleaner models, proper compression application (selectable ) is impoirtant too!

Remember that if/when you check them out!

i gotta be honest, in a practice amp, I just want a few sounds that are very simple to mod. I have a crate blue voodoo with a custom made 4x12 and a boss GT8 thorough the FX loop (not my ideal choice, but it is ok). For my live rig, I don't mind complexity, but I doubt I could be bothered messing through endless parameters just to practice lol.
