Helle knifes are one of the best overall knife brands if you ask me, i have the Helle GT resemble the safari but with a shorter choil. Im always stropping mine and when i get home its to dull to shave, but has no problems sliceing through paper.. And thats not bad.
This video makes me cringe... not because of the knife, but because i'm worried he is going to cut himself if he keeps swinging his knife around like that
@OmegusDakga Actually I live in the U.S. the Adventure Lifestyle Blog works directly with Helle knives. I got the unique opportunity to receive one of the first production model Temagami knives off the line and present a detailed look to YouTube.
@OmegusDakga These knives are now available in the US (currently July 2011). I've seen them on Les Stroud's website as well as several other internet outlets. Hoping to get one of my own soon!
@Romanlegionnaire77 no problems whatsoever with the blade to report. If any problems arise they will be brought up here. I can't stress enough that this blade really had a razor edge out of the box (and still does).
I don't like the kitchen look to it but I love its sharpness!

by the way, to anyone trying to test the sharpness of your blades, avoid cutting paper and cardboard. those are both great ways to dull the edge.

@econnofoot It's now selling much cheaper at Amazon for $128. Not a bad price.

I guess you're from Canada right? The reason i say this is because you already own the knife and they only sell it in Canada right now.. right?
