  • Thats not that messy! Well stocked obviously a man of superior breeding!

  • Steenbergs Organic Fennel Seeds

  • I have a toe in my spice cabinet.

  • I have Marjoram:))

  • Haha I would die if I didn't have marjoram on hand. I use it in almost everything. Sauces, bread, omelets, whatever. I think the one thing in my cabinet that I haven't seen anyone else use is Mongolian Fire Oil from House of Tsang.

  • If i show you the one thing that most people don't have in their spice cabinet, ill probably end up in prison for having it...

  • I have Bisto gravey granuals I bet you don't have them.

  • Tehehe me have marjaram ;)

  • My spice MESS is like yours, NO pretty fancy bottles, we just use the original packaging, and it's wherever it is in the pantry. At least we cram it all in the same area.

    Still anticipating the robo-stir demo.

  • we have marjoram in our spice cupboard and last year we even grew it in our herb garden. ~Amanda

  • I have the same Sesame Seed Oil as you. I keep it in the fridge though, cuz I've heard that it keeps longer in the fridge.

  • @coaster415

I have the same oil too and keep in the fridge, it will go rancid very quickly once it is opened if not. Thinking the bottle says to put in fridge too.

  • That's some big pimpin' if I've ever seen it.

  • Sorry, Jack. Youtube refuses to allow my video response to show up. I bet others are having a similar problem. Arggg. You'll have to check my channel directly if you want to see it. The one you want is "Jack Response Video."

At any rate, I enjoyed seeing your spice cabinet...

  • @LisaDeeCanada can you post on my CWJ FB page?

    facebook (dot) com / cookingwithjack

  • @jakatak69 That worked perfectly!

  • Tazo Tea...aw yeah.

  • Sorry Jack, but my shelf only has super generic stuff like Cinnamon, black pepper, allspice, salt, basil, oregano, and nutmeg and garlic. WOuldnt be much of a show. Lol. Though I bet few people have a canister of Five spice in their shelf/rack/cabinet. You should get some, makes oriental food have a zing.

  • jack mine is worse...and it is a giant cabinet!

  • I can't upload my video response. I'll have to try later - youtube is still squirelly.

  • @LisaDeeCanada no problem. Can't wait to see it.

  • My pick is Orange Peel. Who has that? Add to marinades for pork, chicken and duck. Stir into bbq sauces. Add to cake, muffin, waffle, pancake, french toast and quick bread batters. Stir into yogurt, warm syrups or honey butter.

  • In each german kittchen you would find Marojan xD

  • I've got loads of marjoram lol

    I'll make a vid :D

  • Marjoram is used a lot in French cooking, but the plant is related to oregano, so they can usually be substituted for each other in recipes!

I think we have even more spices than you- luckily a few years ago we took the time to make special spice-bottle sized shelves to fit in our cabinet... We must have the whole Penzey's catalogue in there! Za'atar, epazote, even chocolate mint from our garden! We have pretty much everything...

  • @geisenma nice. I'd love to see a shot

  • marjoram is one of the most common spices ever dude : D

  • @mauysz665 I have never seen a recipe ask for it.

  • The newest spice I have is turmeric. Is that very common? But no salt. . . . ha ha

  • @duke55925 turmeric is pretty common, especially if you like to make curry :)

  • I not only HAVE marjoram, I grow it, dehydrate it and actually use it. Someone mentioned that it was famous in Germany, I don't know about that but I'm really German and I love it. I don't articularly like oregano so I use marjoram instead.

  • Comment removed

  • marjoram is great in slow cooker meals like beef and red wine. really anything you put thyme in you can put marjoram

  • I have devils dung

  • @drubsr what?

  • @jakatak69 asafoetida is its real name but also known as devils dung cuz of its strong smell,, i am taking culinary class and my chef gave me some its a spice usually found in indian food or currys

  • I've got majoram, I think it's quite famous in Germany

  • I have old bay seasoning

  • I bet none of you have soy sauce

  • i have herbs de provence used it once

  • i have majoram, just never used it. came with my spice rack...

  • I have dry orange peel. Bet no one has that.

  • i have curry powder

  • I bet no one has salt. XD

  • I have majoram in my garden, don't need it in my spice rack

  • I have Majoram, bet you don.\'t have Chai Spice Blend?

  • @renewalof48 your right. I don't have chai spice

  • Hmmm what do I have in my spice rack that nobody else has?... does empty space count cause I've sure got a lot of that.

  • @cartilige LOL. classic.

  • Jack, I see you shop at Smart and Final as well! : )

I actually avoid those tiny McCormick containers. Many of the same spices can be bought at hispanic supermarkets and 99cent Only stores for a fraction of the price.

Marjoram is great spice on the outside of a "beer can chicken", as well as stews.

McCormick does kick ass on Lawry's and old El Paso for things like taco mixes and meat seasonings, because they generally use fewer amounts of cheap-o corn starch and salt.

  • @ZombiedustXXX good to know. Thanks.

  • My spice cabinet is horrid

  • make a really big hambuger really big

  • my dog is called Marjoram

  • A hell of a lot tidier than mine! Since I'm a student (explanation for the messiness!) everything I don't keep in the fridge/freezer is in one cupboard, so probably the weirdest thing I have in my spice cabinet is some bread, or possibly a bottle opener...(what kind of student would I be without a bottle opener always on hand huh?).

  • I refuse to show you my rack!

  • @SeeMeEat Awe. Come on.

  • @SeeMeEat That's FUNNY! LOL

Oooo that hot spicey rack! Sounds like it has some cayenne in it.

I was thinking that Jack's cupboard would be full of baggies of OREGANO, being that he's from California.!

  • Jack could I get a reply from you before you become big on youtube? :) Hi how's it going?

  • @Gamespot25 Going good. Thanks. How about you?

  • Im gonna buy majoram leaves just for you!

  • Jack, I LOOOOVE this vid. Sorry, I don't do facebook or post on yt. "/

In the winter (in SoCal), I like to use a tiny bit of lavendar flowers in long stews.

  • @ZombiedustXXX *lavender

  • Jak you don't have Maggi.

  • @nintendoatarikiller wow. No I don't.

  • its clean too... mine has oil and all kinds of crap all over it.

  • wow amazing collection
