These representatives really dont know how to ask the right questions do they? They speak and look like tools.
Compare the damn numbers, get the facts straight, blame the right departments, stop quoting every Dick and Jane from the military and for god's sake, STOP MAKING IT LOOK LIKE BLACKWATER IS MANIPULATING THE MILITARY, ITS THE OTHER WAY AROUND.
I dont like the concept of PMC much either, but this is just STUPID, pure and simple STUPID.
Not if the business competes with the military using arguments of cost-efficiency - without including that former training and education has already been supplied on army-expenses.
The Iraqi occupation is a way to steal from taxpayers. there is a whole class of leeches on the American economy, about 30,000 people who make $20 million or more /yr each with no real economic output. they are the ones calling federal tax revenues "dumb money" while looting the treasury using war spending. FED policies allow them to keep reinvesting contract revenues in finance schemes and avoid real infrastructure investments.
That's a ridiculous argument to make. The military recruits people on the basis that the military is going to teach them real world skills that they'll be able to use in the private sector to build a future when they get out of the military, such as the electricians, the engineers, the communication experts, the airplane mechanics (like Prince said). I should know, that's one of the reasons I enlisted.
The Military recruits based in part on people gaining skills that they can later use in the private sector. It's insane for them or congress to then try and use that against people that hire military personnel.
