  • That bassplayer has it all together. Great feel and playing around with the harmony

  • I'm so jealous. She's so beautiful and sexy. I could use velcro an string and still couldn't get my caboose tho wiggle like that when I walk. She probably doesn't even have a clue that she has "it"

  • NURSE DIXIE!!!!

  • Nice!

  • I need a cigarette

  • she's 100x more sultry and sexier than any of the current singers.makes madonna look like a bag lady!

  • @mangoboy2 I agree. Rather than try to be sexy, she is sex! Kind of like the difference between Mariyln Monroe and Jayne Mansfield.

  • I did not notice her breasts, not even once. I am not that kind of guy. I forgot what did I come to this sight for. But it was not to look at her breasts. ha ha ha

  • I'm sixteen, and I LOVE her. I wish more people my age knew about her :(. She is really wonderful.

  • Just love her vocals together with the bass. Sultry.

  • She will always be delightful!

  • So Tina Louise styled herself after Julie London to Play Ginger Grant! I always thought it was Marilyn! Julie swings, baby! And what a fine example of the slinky dress!

  • LOL... never gave it a thought until you said something... so true!

  • omg such fine touch/version/voice/harmony/

  • It's good to know this tyoe of music is still appreciated by many, instead of the rubbish the new singers churn out these days. Kudos to all of you. Yeah ba!!!

  • Magnificent!

  • Yes!!!

  • UUUUUUH !!

  • I thought she was going to kill him with the microphone

  • I have an Emergency in my pants!

  • google "julie london smoking" and observe her Marlboro ads from the 50's and 60's...and we're stuck with flosomax and cialis adds...world's upside down!

  • I need a cigarette too. Every time I hear her sing, I think that I have just had the greatest sexual experience of my life.

    Light up a Lucky!

  • from the version that im learning at my singing lessons with mrs.greenberg,(she rocks!)this does not sound like jazz at all(this is a jazz song just to let you all know to)lol<3

  • Based upon they key and chord progressions this is jazz, just not in the way most people from recent generations are familiar. Jazz now is definitely not 'jazz' back then.

  • You are right....and it swings....so it is jazz.

  • What was cool still is very very cool !

  • Welcome to Japan!

  • we did this song for our spring concert ... love yah mrs. breslin !!!!

  • This lady don't sing....she smokes!!!

    Un-be-fn-lievable.

  • Oooh, I owe this woman a HUGE apology. I had no idea she was THIS AWESOME SINGER when she appeared on the T.V. show "Emergency". She is the BOMB!

  • I need a cigarette, too

  • this is so awesome, thanks for posting this rare vid of her, its hard to footage of her singing!

  • Anyone know who the bassist is?

  • He's Don Bagley.

  • She is my new mentor. I've even got the dress, I'm adding this number to my show.

  • I need a cigarette

  • erm? Random?

  • Smooth baby

  • Yeah, es el tema de Enemigos Públicos en la parte donde conoce a Billie.

    Saludos desde Trujillo - Perú

  • Great video...thanks for posting! Yes, Diana Krall is similar to Julie London, but while Krall is a really good musician, London has by far the better voice--more depth and much greater range.

  • Great clip! (She could harpoon a whale with that microphone, though.)

  • the song from public enemies ??

  • yeah im lookin for that one too

  • You should listen the version of Joe Cocker, which is featured in the movie "Sleepless in Seatle". It's a diferent, but very good interpretation of the same tune.

  • thats one sexy women, they don't make them like that any more. well some times, enjoy. joanna1943

  • adorable cette femme,

  • there is something very simalar with her voice to diana krall... maybe the style? great performance.

  • wow! i like both performances, one from Julie London and the other from Diana Krall, Both are GREAT!

  • Sexy and classy.

  • yes, that's the same song..

  • This is the song from Public enemies, but its not the version from the movie

  • Is that why he said "Bye, bye blackbird?"

  • You are smart -_-

  • Excuse my English, I am French. Does anyone know if this song is the movie public enemies?

  • mefe06 says below it is.

  • I've always thought her vocal talents were under-appreciated as well. Everyone seemed to pay more attention to her looks than her singing. Julie herself remarked that more time was spent on photographing her album covers than on recording the music!

  • Is that Public Enemies's song?

  • yes it is

  • Yes, I think it's Diana Krall singing it in the film.

  • I just love how the ending sliding bass note he plays while being kissed by Julie is a subtle reference to male sexual arousal. "Bo-o-o-oing!" hahaha.

Sexy yet innocent. Classy and most of all- very VERY COOL.

  • My god this voice is transcendant!!! I looove it!!^^

  • Wow that's a great voice!!!

  • That bass player is pretty talented.

He can play bass and stare at her breasts at the same time!

  • hahahaha I didn't notice before! haha

  • haha,, absolutely... but nevertheless, he is good..

  • Wonderful voice and interpretation :) beautiful duet.

  • Is that a wig?

What a great voice. Sultry and easy.

  • Perfect number indeed

  • she looks pissed. those guys don't let up. I lived there 2 years in atsugi base.

  • I have always thought that as a jazz singer Julie London was terribly underrated, one of the finest female voices ever! good post cheers

  • wats with the Kool mike?!!!

pretty old lmaoo....ill enjoy singing ,with one of those hahhahahah=D

  • She was the coolest of cool!

oh yeah...i absolutely agree with you djjazziedeb...

  • wow, her voice is amazing! fantastic!

  • Nice... first time ive heard of her or seen anything like this... not bad mate.. not bad at all..

  • This is wonderful. Diana Krall learned much from Julie, for sure.

  • Now THAT is what I call OLD SCHOOL bass-playing... See? Practice hard enough and you too can be kissed by a babe like Julie London!
