The good thing about the SA1 version is that it was so cheap- once you found the Emerald you could kill yourself and the emerald would be in the same spot with no extra time on the clock.

The radar in SA2 is broken, not oly because of that, but somrtimes, even when the radar is red you may be searching aroung like an idiot, not finding it. In Sa1, the radar was red when you were right next to it, above it, or below, you were really close. You can be 10 milea awai in SA2 and it will be red.
