No scope, you would have to either make adjustments and realize your target left long before you were finished or you would have to only fire at one range and ignore all other targets. You use the leaf sight or quadrant sights. Grenades are surprisingly accurate for how slowly they travel. Of the 5 I fired, the first dropped about 10' short (still within kill radius) at around 200 yards on a vehicle target and the other 4 were direct hits. That's more than adequate for the 5m kill radius.

you can't really scope with a grenade, you use Iron sights, or just aim using the barrel of the launcher.

I think it needs to achieve a certain velocity to be able to explode which wouldn't be reached if he hit it that close. The worst that could of happend probably is a ricochet hitting him somewhere.

Correct. Its has an inertial meter. If the grenade travels less than 20ft, it will not detonate.
