Why the hell would the bad guy shoot his best assassin/drug dealer to save Max, then explain Max that he killed his family, and THEN try to kill Max himself and fail at it. Only to have Max coming back with a super drug HE gave him and kill him on the roof?

They could make the movie better, however, for some fans a movie stills a movie of their favorite game. However, always a movie needs some improvement, but that works OK for Max. People like me are used to see him on our screen and use him with our Joysticks, or keyboards. The movie was OK, but it could have been better, in many aspects, just because they throw a "badass" guy into a movie, it doesn't mean the movie will be a badass one too. Many registers fail at the mission game to movie.

The movie was an abomination and I have been waiting since 2001 for a Max Payne movie, where it says in the little game booklet that a "movie deal is in the works". Even if the game never existed it would still be a crappy movie. I like action movies with stupid storylines (Commando), but Max Payne wasnt just a shitty action game.

Felt exactly the same, just copying the exact same script of the game would have done it. Adding with that a super noir ambiance, nightmare scenes, MORE gun scenes with more bullet time and different weapons, vladimir len, Vinnie, etc...etc... And of course the Epic story telling voice of Max Payne like in the game. They should have made a film with the same impressions as Man on Fire which for me is the best action/noir movie i ever saw.

Well the movie wasn't as dark as i had hoped, and the story like was like.. "wtf.. lol" but i think they did a pretty good job of recreating the feel of the game. The environments were well layed out, and reminded me greatly of the game. Bullet time could have been used more though. I do agree that movies based off games are almost always kinda crappy, but you also have to remember that they're trying to market the movie to lots of people, not just the people who played Max Payne...
