i have never tried the l'oreal true match minerals but i will say that ive been using the maybelline mineral power since it was released like last spring and i still really like it and have repurchased it. so i think its deff. worth giving a try!

@genienutts you should really consider buying loreal paris bare naturale ! its the KING of drugstore mineral foundations ! absolutely amazing stuff ! medium-full coverage,looks VERY natural when applied the RIGHT way,although you might want to you your own kabuki because the brush leaves it cakey but with the essence of beauty kabuki brush it really is amazing stuff !

i use mineral powder foundation too, but i use a cream concealer before it, and my makeup always turns out REALLY cakey ! what should i do to not look like i just painted my whole face?

what i do is i apply my concealer after the mineral foundation. the foundation may cover up spots that you usually use concealer on, meaning you use less concealer. also the concealer i use is drugstore, its the l'oreal true match. its the perfect consistancy. when i apply my mineral foundation i spend a lot of time blending it in so it wont look cakey and i try to use the smallest amount of powder possibe. so i dont get birthday cake face.

i woundnt use it if your skin is super dry and peeling because it will only emphasize that but if your skin is mildly dry it may only make it feel a little tight so a good moisturizer would help if you were really interesested in this powder.

i wear it in humidity and dont really have too many issues with it. i feel a little more comfortable in this than in a liquid because liquids tend to malt away and them look fake a streaky.

id say that i have more dry skin, especially in the winter. before i put on my face makeup i alwasy apply a nice layer of a good moisturizer i like to use ponds cream. after using that my skin feels a lot better and my makeup looks a lot better.

Maybelline Mineral Power Powder........it IS NOOOOOT mineral AT ALL. it is loaded with parabens....stupid....when i read it i was very pissed...."mineral" makeup....it s BS :-)

i didnt know that they used paraben i read the back of the packaging and didnt see anything about them but, i dont really mind even if it does contain it because its completely harmless and it perserves the makeup so you can use it longer.

the mineral liquid works just like a liquid foundation i usually apply it with a spong but ive recently fallen in love with Ulta's highlighting brush for applying it. and i apply the powder foundation with the essence of beauty kabuki brush (best kabuki ever!).
