I guess some people take the "minimal set and costuming" a little too seriously. Horton is the least costumed person?! I do like the stage though, has to be hard to perform with people on all sides of you.

The only problem is the stage. Rule one of theatre is to never turn your back to the audience, ever. With that stage, no matter what you do, you're breaking the most important rule. I think that might take away from the performance for a few people in the audience.

In a theater in the round, that's what you do. It's designed so that yes, you always have your back to one section of audience. Though that may be a negative to the set up, a positive is that anyone who sits in the audience feels like they're very involved in the show. It seems very intimate for both cast and audience.

I was in this, I was just a circus performer and I only got added in at the last rehearsal, but it was so much fun! I'd learnt all the songs by the time the our performances were all over, I still sing them a lot lol. Definitely the best musical my school has ever done!
