I dunno what's up with it but I'm guessing Chappers must have a really amazing clause written in contract with them or something because, ESP endorses him but he can play whatever he wants to play. I'm guessing if he gets to like, North America for a gig and none of his gear makes it across he could call ESP and say "Guys, send me some win for this show!". :)

Baritone guitars are traditionally tuned in B standard. (BEADF#B) You could tune it as high as you want, but the strings will get very tight and you'll have to adjust the truss rod.

If you put .9 gauge strings on it, you could probably tune to C# standard (a full step above B standard) comfortably. The strings may be a bit tighter than you're used to. Beyond that, you're going to have to setup the guitar differently.

@theaxelofrose Dude I have an ESP Horizon NT-2, it's so fucking badass, sounds thick but it's light weight, never goes out of tune, even less than my Ibanez with trem bridge haha fail. The guitar is deceivingly small, but the next is so smooth and fast, I highly recommend it and I hope to become an endorser someday just like Chappers :) \m/

Doesn't really matter, what lies best in your hand. But for the same sound, you should at least go for EMG's.

I m between a guitar ESP LTD Mh-350NT which im in love with and i like less the ESP LTD EC-1000 i like it too but less as how it looks not playability. The mh-350 got Rosewood fretboard and the EC-1000 ebony. they told me ebony is faster and smoother. since i m going to keep the guitar that iwill buy for years i ll go for the EC-1000.Can you tell me your opinion

@WutangClan4LiF3 I have an LTD EC-1000 and it's great!! I strung it with some D'addario Chrome flat wound strings and tuned it to drop C. Really powerfull sound! I was blown away. It also works great with lighter gauge. played some Gary moore with it, sounded awesome!

I just Bought the FX 400 SM

I usally play with my other guitar with a dimebucker in the bridge and a 59 jazz modle in the neck. Which sounds amazing on my Krankenstein but the Emgs are kinda ehhhh. i think it could be the battery because i have the EMGs up pretty high

I don't really like EMGs that much I was thinking about switching those to the Black outs

i'd recommend dimarzio d-activators. more character than emgs, but with the same level of aggressiveness. the x2ns and this new crossover of both by dimarzio suck btw, they are so high-output, that the sound starts to lack definition

Mind, I don't think I could take EMGs out of a guitar, that'd just feel sacrilege for some reason. I'd just give them the 18v mod treatment. That gives them back the same dynamic range of normal passives.

the difference i that the mhb has a longer scale lngth, meaning you can put huge strings like 12 guages on them, and it'l feel like 10'son the normal mh, the reason for putting the 12's on would be if your tuning down to like, b or whatever instead of standard e, it means that in short you can play scary metal down tuned without the added ressistenace of heavy strings, ever tried playing 12's on a 25.5 guitar?, damn they'e a bitch to bend. but basically theyr'e for nu metal like korn/deftones
