Very tricky issue. I mean, you're right, Tennant's done the glowy twice [well, 1 1/2 times], but nobody's mentioned the 12-regeneration limit since 1996, I don't think. So since the Time Lords are all caput, there might not be a limit.

It's moot in the end of course. The BBC aren't about to let that stop them continuing the show. They'll most likely come up with some deus ex machina to give the Doc a new run.

Not true. Unlike American TV corporations, BBC would rather cancel a show with a good ending rather than have it run longer than its due. If the writers and producers at BBC decide that the 11th Doctor actually being killed by the Astronaut is best, then the show will end. I forgot the name, but they canceled another sci-fi that was /really/ good after one season because that's the way the story went, despite popular demand. Don't assume the show is safe just because its popular.
