And he has a video here on you tube; Called My Funny Samoyed .. He's Digging for ice. Hope u see it; these are Beautiful Dogs, Not just in appearance but in their very nature; May you have Many happy years with yours.
Lovely Samoyed puppy, I'm surprised he diddnt howl too ! I have a male Samoyed that was Neutered last year at age 2 , would have been done younger but his Breeder changed her mind about using him as she diddnt have the time and she was having her own ( human) baby at the time; so I did the responsible thing & he had the operation: if anything it will INCREASE his life Span not shorten it as everyone knows. These are Wonderful dogs and I feel Blessed to have one in my life; his name is Carter &
@DreamStars21 Shortening longevity by neutering is unheard of. My terrier spitz lived to be 18 years old and was spayed at 1 years old after her first heat. Spaying after a female dog's first heat allows their organs and hormones to fully develop and most responsible breeders will advise pet owners to do so. Please get your facts straight before attacking responsible, well-informed pet owners like @JaspersDen. Cute video, my Samoyed Kona is 4 months old this Friday :) She says "Woof!"
Regarding the person who thinks you "broke" Jasper, I get upset when people go so far over the top, not only because they are so hurtful to many good and responsible pet owners, but because they give animal lovers a bad name as hysterics. There IS terrible cruelty to animals and there ARE awful procedures like declawing. Neutering is necessary for non-breeding animals when 95% of pets don't need to be bred and will live happier lives if neutered.
JaspersDen, it's wonderful that you neutered your pet if you're not going to use him for breeding. This DreamStars21 person completely ignored your comment about the number of animals that have to be put down because people don't fix their pets. It was completely the responsible choice. Of course, you know that. :)
@allahexclamationmark I agree. I'm sickened that anyone responded like that to you when you so clearly adore this puppy and are doing everything to take care of him, including reducing his risk of cancers and other disease. DreamStars21's response made me cry, but for the wrong reasons. It's good that DreamStars21 feels so strongly about not being cruel to animals, but sad that they can't take a moment to look at more than one side.
what do you feed your dog do you have to feed it some special type of dog food for its breed, i myself would like to get one but want to no what they eat first if theres anything they cant eat or do they have any sort of allergies
Jasper is the cutest ever! I'm getting a samoyed next month I can't wait. Did you have yours fixed? I'm asking because the breeder told me it makes the fur longer and I noticed your dog has a beautiful coat.
I can't wait to get mine. I visited the litter again today and shot a little video of the pups. They look so cute when they nurse. They are only 2 1/2 weeks old. I just posted it on here. Check it out if you have time they are soooooo cute!
@JaspersDen You mean he got "BROKEN". That is what you did to him. Not maliciously, but you hurt him and took away one of his most precious gifts, not to mention permanently messed up his biochemistry and lowered his longevity by about 40%. So, awful thing, please don't do it to any more animals and do some research before you do something barbaric and thoughtless like tear out someones organs so they don't "act wild". It's called training and you can deal with excitement once a month.TELL EVR1
Well before you start spouting off more ignorant comments, did you ever take this into consideration: do you know how many animals are put down every year due to unwanted pregancies in pets? ITS THE RESPONSIBLE THING TO NEUTER YOUR PET if you do not intend on breeding them. It also reduces the risk of cancer in those organs. I did not HURT him - I guarantee you, he is the best looked after/most loved pet you will find. I don't appreciate your judgemental and ignorant comment.
@JaspersDen How should I not "spout"? If I left the words in they wouldn't be heard. That's 1 of like 3 ways you tried to be mean just for the sake of being mean where my 1st message was just being honest and not intentional to hurt you. I wanted to disclaim any bad feelings you might have gotten from the comment but I was limited to 500 characters. So, I know you're an excellent super-loving pet companion. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings but how would u feel getting ur organs ripped out~*~?
What I believe is the responsible thing is to be responsible all the way. That would mean embracing a life's natural existence and not trying to alter it to suit something that seems more comfortable. I love your motives and intentions I just think they're A Little unenlightened. I think this is an important dialogue. The discussion about tearing out organs in animals is not closed, I don't think it ever will be until ppl stop doing it. It does lower lifespan and screws up animals' chemistry.
@DreamStars21 it's not that bad your not literaly "ripping out their organs" it's a safe operation! it does hurt/itch them afterwards which is kinda sad and since my sammy took off her cone head we put a t-shirt on her and she loved it! and it's for their own good too if their not gonna have puppies it decreases the % of cancer and increases lifespan. My first samoyed died at 10 years old and we're hoping our new one lives more thx to the operation + her period was really messy!
@DreamStars21 and we're getting a Bernese Mountain Dog puppy on October she might even fulfill her motherly instincts even if she didn't have puppies. I hope we can get him for her 2nd birthday on October 14th!
@DreamStars21 Neutering you're dog is not a bad thing in the slightest. I have a 9 year old Samoyed who was neutered years ago. He was not hurt and he is still living a happy, healthy life. He has had to go to the vet a few times, but that is only because of grass seeds. Neutering is not something that hurts a dog or "tears out it's organs".
Cutest video I've ever seen! What a precious Sammy you have there :). The way he moves his head reminds me of my boyfriend's beagle when I ask him where his ball is

Yes, Jasper is fixed. This video was taken before he got fixed though. He got fixed when he was 6.5 months old :)
JaspersDen 2 years ago
Did you notice a difference in his coat after?
missbehaved2 2 years ago
Yeah actually, his coat has become much thicker since I've gotten him fixed. Looks beautiful, but it's A LOT of work to brush! lol But worth it :)
