@metagordian Smart ASS. If you see a newer car in there it means the car belonged to someone important. Many of these are from Shah's collection. There are no 80s benz in there. The 600 model limo Mercedes are also Shah's and from 60s. The old Paykan early in the video has a nostalgic value for because it was first Iranian-made car from late 60s and it reminds us of good ol' days before revolution.

@SAMTOMAS There are some decent models made from 1995 and up. Like Ford Focus, Dodge Ram cummins diesel, Oldsmobile Aurora, new 2011 Mustang is nice one with 305HP in V6 and still gets 30mpg. Ofcourse I only buy Subaru, Toyota and German cars.

iran hasnt got the technology to produce any cars fit for the road, maybe the European car makers have cars manufactured in Iran for consumers only but i have never heard of Iran being able to produce cars..

@chessplayer100 Have you ever driven a car in Iran? The newer ones have a good chance of being fit for EU regulations. You are wrong, Iran does have the technology and facility to produce good cars. The Iranian version of the Peugeot 405 (Peugeot Pars) is a decent car that beats the original by far, the Iran Khodro Samand etc. is a very well equipped car with what we in the UK would consider extras, as standard. I have been in a few of the cars in the video, there is nothing wrong with them.

They have airbags, anti lock brakes and power steering, they ride comfortable. Just because they are Iranian does not mean they won't compete with other European cars.
