  • jimmy johnson ruined the sport

  • fag johnson

  • THIS IS NASCAR..............

  • HE DID IT!!!.... gotta love D.W.

  • F all you 48 haters, your driver sucks cock, get over it already. Labonte needs a win this year though no doubt. It's your crappy driver that is ruining stockcar racing not JJ.

  • And sucks it

  • Jimmie Johnson is a dick

  • Fuck you JJ

  • Best race that I ever had seen in person... JJ48 FOR LIFE!!!

  • Best race that I ever had seen in person... JJ48 FOR LIFE!!!

  • wholehand64 same thing happened to me

  • When Jimmie Johnson won the race, I was so pissed, that my life changed a little, and the hatred of Jimmie Johnson had begun for me.

  • This race pissed me off

  • Yeah! Go Jimmie!

  • @golhart what? Hell no, as in Johnson doesn't deserve the win, and should bring inferior equipment every week to give others a chance?

  • @golhart Hell no what? Hell no, as in Johnson doesn't deserve the win, and should bring inferior equipment every week to give others a chance?

  • @golhart Hell no what? Hell no, as in Johnson doesn't deserve the win, and should bring inferior equipment every week to give others a chance?

  • nascar's awesome dude you don't see finishes like this in fagmula 1

  • @kuraimauri yea the only reason i know about f1 is because their drivers come to nascar. hopefully lewis hamilton switches to nascar. nascar needs a black british driver.

  • Amazing finish. I actually smiled, and I'm a Labonte fan. A high pass on the last turn, last lap.. Like watching Days of Thunder. go Cole Trickle ;]

  • BOOOOO!!!! Fuck that 48. Labonte all the way.

  • I remember after this race Bobby was pissed. Mainly at himself for giving it up on the last lap that's a heartbreaker for sure for the 600. Shows you how much respect they have for another they are both racing each other at over 190 mph for the win in the 600 and never touched each other but put on a great finish.

  • fuck johnson

  • If I'm ever racing Jimmie Johnson for the win I'm putting him in the fence.

  • @ChevyCamaro33 Only shows Johnson is the better man, and better racer.

  • there only a 10 race champion thats the way i look at it

  • everyone is getting sick of johnson winning...nascar needs to make changes...nascar isn't scripted...the 48 scripts the season themselves...they know the circumstances and they know when they have to perform....the only way to prevent them from winning the title is resetting the points for the last race and sending some driver out there to purposley crash the 48....that is the only way....either you wreck him and take his car out of the race...or he wins the title

  • @jm1922 Or you bring better equipment with a better crew chief and a better driver. Would solve it.

  • In my mind, this is one of johnson's best finishes

  • I felt so bad for Bobby Labonte in that race. he struggled most of 2005 that season. that was also the last time I saw him run that good. Bobby deserved that win more than Jimmie johnson. I hope Bobby wins in the 47 car this year, I would like to see him win a few more times before he retires. anybody that agrees with this, vote thumbs up.

  • lol..bunch of crybabies..why can't you all just admit that was a fuckin awsome finish!

  • As a Labonte fan, I cried myself to sleep for about 3 months after this.

  • awesome!

  • @BCNation1 no shit, so sick of john winning

  • Simply put, FUCK Jimmie Johnson. Bobby Labonte would have been much better off with winning that race.

  • Dmhart67! It's not labonte's last chance to win! He can do it! I hate jimmy johnson!

  • if he would of won that race he would of tied his Brother Terry with 22 wins but still with only 1 championsip

  • last chance to win a race for labonte...

  • For everyone here that say that Jimmie Johnson cheat. No he don't cheat, because if he cheat every time he win a race, it's because Jeff Gordon helps him to cheat.

And you have to think that Jeff Gordon is 8-time champion(4 as a driver and 4 as a onwer)

  • well I will put it like this, Johnson only wins because no one will race him for the win, There are a lot of race for an example, Johnson also has a lot better equipment than a lot of other poeple, he only has a lot better equipment becuase he has this magical green paper called money. that is why i am not a jj fan

  • @flubber342 yeah..throw any talent out the window

  • jimmie johnson FTW.

  • @MrStewielewis2010

    Chad Knaus FTW not jimmie

  • this was the moment i started to hate jimmie johnson

  • Was this the race with like 24 cautions?

  • dammmmm nice winn

  • It's sad that someone with more talent than Earnhardt Jr can't find a ride better than the 71...

  • this is the race i discovered my hate for jimmie johnson

  • @theACE3275 Dr. Phil can help you. lol.

  • @bigblockcarl lol it might've helped at the time

  • Man, this race was awesome cause i just couldn't believe that Jimmie Johnson pulled off the win by driving on the outside for the win over Bobby Labonte.

  • 95% of the nascar population wanted labonte to win that race, whoever is a jimmie fan should rethink who they cheer for, because i guarantee 80% of them are just people getting on the bandwagon.

  • @lolimadethisvid I was a 48 fan back in 2003 because Rusty was getting out of it. I was his fan when he gained popularity 2004 to 2007, and i'm still his fan now that people are detesting him for his success.

  • @lolimadethisvid Jimmie's success comes largely due to the Chase and the COT. He's fast, but there are faster, better drivers out there. The only problem is that they don't have teams that are specifically built for them.

  • @Cynon44 i know that, im not a hater, but i know so many people that like jimmie because he has the best crewchief and team in the business, me being a matt kenseth fan, i particularly dont like the cot, because matt doesn't really like it :)

  • this pissed me off. Labonte deserved the win more than Jimmie Faggot.

  • jimmie j u suck and bobby what ever happened to you

  • I still think Bobby Labonte could win races if he had decent equipment. If he was driving for Hendrick, for example, I would be willing to bet he'd be just like Mark Martin. Win a race or two and remind everyone just how awesome he was. I feel Mark Martin, Bobby Labonte and Bill Elliott are all in the same box, and only Martin was able to get out of it. He's driving the best equipment and winning races. Labonte and Elliott COULD do the same, if given the opportunity.

  • @rodmanrc Bobby Labonte is going to Michale waltrip racing wich does have decen equipment so mayby we could see a new Bobby Labonte.

  • What's another win for Johnson... Man this could have been a storybook final victory for one of the last remaining old school champions - unfortunately we all know Bobby will never come close to another victory in the Cup series. Johnson on the other hand will probably win 100+ I know he's good, but sometimes they just seem to fall in his lap.

  • @rockingham20 He has to put his lap there for them to fall into, though. What I'm saying is yeah, 48 catches alot of breaks. But it's because he's been smart enough and good enough to put him in position to capitalize upon such luck that he takes full of advantage of whatever he can get and has the success that he does. He makes alot of his own luck by being right there when it counts.

  • @rockingham20 Although now B. Labonte will be in Michael Waltrip Racing's satellite team (#47) in 2011, that is an up and coming team. MWR has won at Charlotte and Joliet, so he'll be in better equipment that can win.

  • this was the best Bobby's run in a while. this race and the aaron's 312 two years later

  • FUCK YOU JIMMIE JHONSON!!!!!!!... and GO BOBBY!!!

  • i hate jimmie johnson when he wins he h bitches when he loses he bitches 10 times worse

  • @ironmantj1991 I've never heard Johnson bitch once. He may be upset, but he never shows it. He puts on his Public-relation mask and gets in front of the cameras and microphones and handles himself with class. Look at the Talladega race in 2006, he got wrecked by his teammate, Vickers, knocked out of the race win, and possibly out of the championship. But he still congratulated Vickers on getting his first victory. I'd like to see Kyle Busch ever do that.

  • @weaverracing96 Im sorry seems to me hes goin the same way jeff has. I respect johnsons driving abilaty the dude can drive and win alot of races and he has shown that he is capable of wining chamionships i mean for the past like what 3 years its been all him at the top at the end of the season but i like kyle busch now for sure when they were at darlington this year denny hamlin was faster when kyle was leadinghe would usaly try to race hard to keep the lead but he pulled of and let hamlin pass.

  • JJ hasn't raced well in the Coca Cola 600 ever since this race, based on his past success anyways.

  • Hell yea and man is waltrip negative!

  • Jimmie Johnson really pisses me off sometimes.

  • Go JEFF GORDON!

    w-w-w [dot] 24pit [dot] tk

  • i agree with you, and the Chase may be harder to win, although that can't be proven its just debatable, but the old format better crowned a season champ. thats all im trying to say. a season champ NOW can come from a guy who was just top 10 in points all year long, but not the top runner. The Chase lacks the champion luster the old system had.

kenseth is among my favorite drivers, i thought his 2003 championship was deserving and impressive. anyone who doesn't think so obviously didn't watch it

  • This really pissed me off, i wanted labonte to win so bad!!!

  • If JJ didnt race for Hendrick, we would not have nearly as many wins. To almost pull off a win with older tires against a Hendrick Car, Labonte did awesome. Newman put up a sorry fight for second. Man, I wanted Bobby to win that.

  • Chevy your a moron. Jimmie would have 3 championships under the old system. 06 07 09. Only exception would be the title in 08 when Jeff Gordon would have won it. And Jeff Gordon would be a 6 time champ.. But that's not here nor there. Get over the points system, or go watch the Busch series you crybaby.

  • Actually Jimmie Johnson would have two championships under the old system. By 4 points over Kenseth in '06 and 66 points over Gordon in '09.

Gordon would have won by 353 points in '07 and Edwards by 16 points in '08. But people need to quit bitching, the system is what it is. They cried the way Kenseth won in '03 now they're crying now that their favorite driver may get screwed. Can't have your cake and eat it too.

Sounds like angry Jr. fans because he can't win a title under ANY system.

  • @smwomer48 actually under the old system stewart would have won the championship in 06... nascar actually said that back in 07 on tv , wich if you think about it , tony didn';t make the chase , and still would have won that to me is pretty cool

  • @SlayerPayback If you are going by the 12 driver Chase format then you may be right. But remember they did not go to the 12 driver format and seed the Chase drivers by race wins until the 2007 season. In 2006, the Chase consisted of 10 drivers and they were seeded the way they finished in the points standings after Richmond in 5 point intervals. Stewart was in 11th 482 points back. Johnson would have won the title by 4 points over Kenseth and Stewart would have finished 4th 431 points back.

  • @SlayerPayback

You couldn't be more wrong. JJ would have won under either system 2 years, '06 & '09. in '06 without the chase Tony still would have only finished 4th, 431pts behind JJ. Which is the highest any none chaser would have finished since the inception of the chase.

  • @gracethedog48 if stewart had made the chase he would not have been 431 points back...... checkyour math buddy

  • @SlayerPayback

How about you go back and re-read my post before you get too comfy up there on your high horse. I clearly stated, "WITHOUT the chase Tony still would have only finished 4th, 431pts behind JJ". I could give a crap where he would have finished, "if he made the chase", because he didn't, so it doesn't matter.

  • @gracethedog48 my ocmment was based on wwhat i calculated on him making the chase at richmond , if you cant understand a hypothetical situation then you shouldnt bother commenting , and as far as a high horse goes ... lol musta struck a nerve :)

  • @SlayerPayback why are you guys even still arguing about "the chase"? im glad i see fewer and fewer of these comments every year..you can calculate all you guys want "if" there wasn't a chase..but the fact remains there is, it's the rules, everyone knows it heading to Daytona since 2004..get over it because your opinion doesn't count in the official rule books nor history

  • Moron? Nascar knows they went wrong now with dipping ratings and virtually no competition on most tracks. And I said at least one time champ, sorry I don't spend time looking up these stats. thanks for looking that up though.

I hate getting into debates, so leave it at this. I've been a Nascar fan all my life, know virtually everything about it, and as with every sport, it should stick to its roots and not change things that were fine anyways and cause controversy. Thank you and good day.

  • You are probally one of those who cried when Kenseth won the championship in 2003 with only 1 win and they changed it now everyone is crying again

  • I hate even saying this because it no longer exist but in fact Johnson would have 2 championships under the old system not 1 but that is neither here nor there because it doesn't exist anymore

  • @ChevyCamaro33 The dipping ratings would stem from 2 things and either of them are Jimmie Johnson..#1 Economy and #2 the so called Jr nation that makes up about 65% of the sports fan base has only seen him win 1 race since he signed with HMS and u can also add the amount of commericals during a race

  • I really wanted Bobby to win this race. I have never seen him win a race live. Hope he can do it with TRG in

  • Jimmie Johnson is the best!GO 48!!

  • we all know labonte deserved to win that race more

  • How did he deserve to win that race more? That looked like a pretty bad ass clean pass to me

  • Bobby Labonte was practically near the end of a competitive full-time ride! To see somebody like him with his kind of record would be a great win to witness. We all knew that JJ would be around for many more years, so seeing Labonte win a race would have been great to see.

  • @PRickJr2448 Racing doesn't work like that. In racing if you 'deserve' to win something, you win it. If you don't win it, it's because you didn't deserve it. Everyone says Mark Martin /deserved/ to win the championship in 2009. No he didn't, if he 'deserved' to win it, he'd have won it. Labonte has had dozens of other chances to win this race, and hasn't. Evidently he doesn't deserve to win it. It's just how things are.

  • @PRickJr2448

How do you figure? They raced each other clean and JJ made a hell of a pass to get the win.

  • @gracethedog48 I agree with you. Johnson didn't drive dirty to win or anything. He made a clean fair pass and won the race.

  • @PRickJr2448 If LaBonte won the race it would have been special, snapping a then 47 race winless streak and winning on the 10th anniversery of his first cup win the 1995 Coca Cola 600, after 22 Cautions for 103 of 400 laps and 5 hrs and 13 mins behind the wheel.

  • @PRickJr2448 Johnson fought for it and won it fair and square. He deserved it. Labonte raced hard, but you can't take away from Johnson's effort.

  • @PRickJr2448 Why do you say Labonte deserved to win that race more? Any idea how many laps Johnson or Labonte lead that race? How long either of them spent in the top 3 or 5? Do you remember why that race ran so late? All you people sayin "we all know Labonte deserved to win that race more" did not watch the whole race..so far 32 people hate Johnson because he won 3 races in a row that year 99% of you have no idea what happend the other 599 miles..you just see Johnson winning AGAIN! lol

  • get rid of the cot.

  • @e521soediv Yeah i agree the old cars r better

  • @e521soediv no,its more exciting with the wing

  • i am sorry 48 fan but bobby frickin rocks man

  • I miss bobby i wish j

    g would bring him back

  • I remember this race, I was on the edge of my seat cheering for Bobby Labonte, i actually got it on tape

  • I have always been a 48 fan and that right there shows why he is a champion

  • he stil sucks he's going to have to win 10 championships in a row to gain my respect

  • Yea Jimmie sucks! 4 championships in a row and he sucks! You have lost your mind!

  • 4 "championships". quote on quote.

the Chase isn't a championship anymore. it prevents a true champion, and though Jimmie deserves to be at least a one time champ, he would only have one true championship under his belt.

(for those of you not following, the old championship format awarded true champions. Not the Chase that lets someone in 12th place in points most of the season have a chance at winning it, if he simply gets lucky for 8 or 9 races in the Chase.)

  • You must be retarded. So all 49 of his wins came in the last ten races? Only 18 of his 49 wins have come in the chase. And he won 2 of the first 4 races this year not counting his Duel 150 win. You opinion doesn't matter whether he's a 4x champ or not because whether you accept it or not he is. Not to mention his average finish over his entire career is 11.7 and is responsible for some of the most exciting finishes since 2002 including this one..must be a pissed off Jr fan

  • I'm not angry at Jimmie, I respect him completely. He's one of, if not the best there is driving right now. he deserves to be a champion. my point is he shouldn't be a 4 time consecutive champ and be put in the same category as all the pre-Chase champions. Gordon's 4 championships are not equal to Johnson's. They are totally different, earned totally differently in different formats.

I just wish Nascar would stop emphasizing the hype of JJ, or calling Earnhardt Sr now a 7 time SPRINT Cup Champ.

  • Gordon is the one who said he thinks winning a championship under the chase format is WAY HARDER than the old points system. Did you know that Petty won 5 of his 7 championships under different points formats? All that matters is that you are number 1 at the end of the year..doesn't matter how u do it

  • you said it brother. that is 100% true. my thing is that jimmie's tracks that he runs great at just so happen to be the last Chase tracks. He is a great driver but if they compare JJ titles and Gordon titles is retarded. Back when gordon won his titles it was a harder format and with more drivers on the same level. Because of rules and Nascar "debris" cautions seem to always favor JJ. thats what i notice.

  • @EpicDime funny that you say that. Jeff Gordon has said many times winning a championship under the Chase format is way harder than the old system. Old system if you were lucky you had 2 or 3 guys that could win the championship goin into the final 10 races now you have 12

  • go bobby

  • I miss the racing like this, where the announcers start yelling and you can't understand a damn thing. Can't get racing that high of a quality with the damn COT.

  • JIMMIE ROCKS

  • Bobby Labonte has always been my favorite driver ever since I started watching NASCAR, which I think was 1999. It was kind of bandwagon, but I was 7 at that time, and he is still my favorite driver even though he hasn't done anything for like 5 years. (I actually think it was because green is my favorite color, and he was in one of the only green cars at the time) I wish he could respark his career, but I doubt it will happen.

  • thats why hes the best

  • johnson is just lucky that bobby isn't like other drivers that would have come up on him in the corner and put him into the wall if they had to.

  • firstly, finishes like this sum up why I love racing. secondly, races like this one prove that JJ is a total legend.

  • this is my all-time favorite nascar race since ive been a fan, 21 cautions, and a finish like this

  • my bro and i like labonte and johnson (he likes labonte more than johnson i like johnson more than labonte) but we were watching this and when johnson passed him my bro picked up the remote and threw it at the wall and it left a mark on the wall now i tell people that is the mark of jimmie johnson winning at lowes

  • I hate Jimmie johnson.

  • great finish it would have been a hell of alot better if bobby won then he would still be at gibbs right now

  • yeah

  • one win wouldnt of changed JD's mind, they look for consistancy, not win one week, 2 laps down the next, dnf the next, top 10 the next.. you get the picture.

  • no because if bobby won this race he would have snapped a streak and more attenion would of went to bobby and and he wouldnt be nown as a old man that year and jd would have picked him over jj and they wouldnt have nown kyle excisted

  • you missed my whole point.. owners look for consistancy... not one win every 5 years or whatever his streak is..

  • Gibbs started to give the better equipment to Stewart after Bobby Labonte won the championship in 2000. Labonte had solid seasons in 2001 and 2003, but gave way to Tony as the better driver.

  • if you really think that any owner "gives a driver better equiptment" than another driver, then you really need to get your head strait... there is no "better equiptment" when it comes to a team, its all the same, made by the same people.. any nascar fan would know that..

  • The way Nascar is anymore, fans want to see the most popular drivers win and contend for the championship. A good driver like Bobby Labonte doesn't just go from being good and in the top 10 every race to being a non-factor who is struggling. (even before he left JGR). Nascar is all about the money. They make sure their golden boys get up there and contend every week. Owners have a HUGE part in that. Whether you like it or not, that's the way Nascar is now. It isn't bad, but it is different.

  • then explain Dale Jr.

  • The name Earnhardt gets you money.

  • Not fans...NASCAR does. Brings in the bucks.

  • You are crazy! Hendrick Motorsports as a whole besdies Jr are in the chase Johnson has 3 wins, Martin 4 and Gordon 1 so far in the 09 season. There is no "he has the best stuff" it's all about the driver, crew, crew chief and setup on the car and some drivers just don't live up to what they should so they blame team owners

  • not everything is the exactly the same, teams are always trying new things. generally the non-championship teams will be their R&D teams, which is why you'll see some teams have ON/OFF weekends. If the teams all kept the exact same equipment they'd never move forward as an organization.

  • every driver has the same stuff as their teammates.. the only thing that makes one faster then another is the driver, and the setup.. for example, look at Indy a few weeks ago.. Mark and Jimmie were racing each other for the win, but mark couldnt pass him, because they had the same equiptment but different setups..

  • listen to what they've been saying about jr's new car, how they always talk about how it was built 'for' him. team equipment isn't always the same because different drivers like different personalities in the car, alot of it is done with the set up, but each driver wants to have a certain 'character' built into the frame. gordon likes tight, snug cars. johnson likes cars that are characteristically free. i think the different in equipment quality will be shown when the chase starts and rcr and

  • other 'off' teams, roush for instance start to either run top5 or have equipment failures. it's just how the chase has made things, multi car teams use their non-chase cars as R&D

  • Cause Kyle Busch sums up what consistent is right? 3 wins in 2009, but he will likely miss the chase. I like Bobby, but Kyle Busch has ruined that 18 car that Dale Jarret and Bobby Labonte were very successful in.

  • i know bobby and his daughter i road i his truck ( on a feild trip ) he has a Ford F-150 King Ranch im lucky cause im a huge labonte fan THIS IS NOT I LIE I HAVE HIS AUTOGRAPH DONT BELIEVE ME ILL SEND U A PIC OF IT I HAVE IT! lol but ui really do

  • i was there

  • Johnson Sucks!

  • i was at this race...we were right off turn 2 i would of put a million bucks sayin bobby had him beat on the last lap

  • Yeah, I hope so too but Yates hasn't won since 2005 so I don't expect Bobby to win with them either.

  • I was in Vegas during this race and had $200 on Bobby Labonte to win at 18-1 odds. Payoff would have been $3600. That finish broke my heart.

  • I felt so bad for Bobby that day. I really wanted him to win that 1. not only that this was the last he time he ran good. I hope he do well 96 ford this year.

  • i got soo mad when i saw this on tv

  • The only reason why Johnson is where he is, is b/c of sponsorship...That's it...

  • Actually...you're right. That fag probably does sit around and play Xbox. And no...he's not an alien but he does suck alien cock..I read that in the tabloids. Plus 2..anyone who is a teammate of Jeff Gordan..must be a faggot. like you.

  • Poor Bobby; he's had no luck at all since mid 2004.

  • If Bobby can run great somewhere and get a top 5 or top 10 that would make me happy.

  • Well he already has a top 5 finish at Vegas this year, one minor highlight anyway =D

  • Comment removed

  • AWSOME great racing by jimmie GO 48

  • i really hate that fucking jimmie johnson, bobby should have slammed into that stupid prick just like carl did when carl passed him at atlanta. johnson and all his fans are all butt fucking worthless, and if you cheer for this cockstain, i hope you choke on his mother fucking cock you fag loving ass cracks!!! This asshole don't deserve to be calling himself a 3 time champion, and all you 48 lovers fucking know it, johnson, the chase and his fans can all fucking fuck off! 24 rules!

  • Ouch. Especially coming from a gordon fan. I'm a gordon fan but I don't mind Johnson.

  • give me 3 reasons johnson sucks and ya he shouldnt have won 3 CHAMPIONSHIPS he only finished in the top 5 each season since he was a rookie

  • Carl never slammed Johnson into the wall because Carl was on the outside just like this pass..haha Your right about the 3 time champion it would be 6 if he had a little more luck aka kurt busches tire flying off at Homestead where Jimmie finshed the season in 2nd 8 POINTS away from Kurt! Johnson is a few wins away have as many as Gordon has but only has been the sport half as long! 7 years and 41 wins and 3 CHAMPIONSHIPS! Hate to tell ya bud but Johnson owns this sport right now. GO 48 4Peat!!!

  • Someone needs a hug :)

  • 5 stars!

  • bobby should have just wrecked his ass.

  • I really wanted Bobby to win this. I mean, Jimmie can win every race but Labonte has stuggled to win the last few years or so.

  • i can't believe labonte got rigged

if they didn't red flag it for nothing and went green, white, checkered labonte would've won

    mike helton has ruined NASCAR
