  • That's cool man I hear ya. Sometimes I watch these videos and people blow the block and have a forged one ready to go like wtf? I plan on a on3 turbo kit for my gt. need to upgrade the rest of the car first tho. Check out some of my videos.

  • I think 230 at the rear on a v6 is good, that's more then a stock GT

  • @ERICLSTRUNK The car was retuned this summer and made 275hp/283 tq at the same boost level. Check out my new video

  • And your civic is still worth $1000. Nice car man. Most people boost the six to around 10(stock block). And anything past 350rwhp is going to need a tranny and a rear end. But keep up the good work bro.

  • @Turbo05gt i know people usually push them further but this is my only car and don't have time/money for an engineswap. I try not to beat on it anyways, this was more of a project to just get familiar with working on an engine. on my next one i plan to build a full motor and then slap on a turbo to make some real power

  • Hehe my b18c 4 cylinder makes 400.1 WHP and 270 ft lb torque ...... That's 480hp at the crank..... On pump gas and 18 psi on a Garret 57 trim... :-)

  • thoes white racing stripe, are they tapered where they meet the hood scoop?

  • I have a Cobra R hod so there is no hood scoop. They just run straight from the front to the back with no taper

  • were do i find a vortech and how much do thy cost??? and how much hp will i pull in a 2001 mustang?

  • I think you can purchase the kits directly from Vortech or other Mustang parts sites. Check on 3.8mustang . com, theres some used kits that come up from time to time. With just the Vortech, non intercooled kit you should see around 275rwhp

  • def retune have seem people with the same setup getting at least 280 hp. awesome build man

  • Thanks, I'm going to get it re-tuned next spring, I just have no time or money right now lol.

  • could alway be a low reading dyno. sometimes they are up to 60rwhp off... so instead of it being 230hp it might be something closer to 290

  • It was on a Mustang dyno which can read 10% less than a dynojet sometimes

  • get a retune, up the boost alot more.

    my 3.8 did 225 rwhp 220 tq n/a.

    you should at least be getting 270 rwhp

  • I tried to keep it smog legal and keep the EGR, however I think that's where I'm leaking some boost because I have a custom EGR tube I kinda fabbed up. I will be removing that in the spring and upping the boost to around 10-11pounds. I'm shooting for around 300rwhp

  • re-tune or something man. You can deff put up some better numbers then that!!!
