Well actually smartass 1989 was 22 years ago and 1980 was 31 years ago and if you add up the distance from 2011 for the rest of the years and find the average you will find that you get 26.5 which is by definition closer to 30 than 20 hence "more like 30 years ago"

But this song imparticular sounds like a song from the 80's

I'm not critisising, just noticed the sound effects and the video features that make it look like it was made 20 years ago..
