It's what musicians want and need, and I count Rush as a major influence in anything I write by default. This album is the heaviest by far for Fates Warning, and the songs just before the concept of Ivory Gate of Dreams are killer in and of themselves. The whole album is a masterpiece, a template of prog rock equal to Dream Theater, Yes, and Rush. Rock On!

This was my first Fates Warning CD, I had cassettes, but CDs were really hard to come by. In 1992 when I was in the hospital having my son someone broke into my house and stole my sterio AND CDS!!! No Exit was never to been seen or heard again until now. It is impossible to find it anywhere, this must be posted recently because I don't remember ever seeing it when checking previously. And PS, the lyrics are mostly writen by the guitarist Frank Aresti. Thanks for putting this up.

i would put SX, Fates, Shadow gallery, Adagio, Circus Maximus, DGM, Wastefall, Dream Theater.... and so on. (in order of my personal preference;DT are a bit annoying, great musicians but less more)

PS:I only expreme my opinion and the bands are chosen for technique, composition, atmosphere and expression.

I've omitted italian bands like PFM and New trolls because they're Prog rock and you probably don't know them (search for: PFM - È Festa  and NEW TROLLS Fireworks e assolo).
