The original line up was good, back in the 70s, and some awesome songs were created. But lets not forget, whith all of Kiss' verious band members, they all produced good songs in their own right. Lick It Up, Crazy Nights, Heaven's On Fire, Forever, they are all good songs. The current band members should be just as good :)

@hellsbells056 I have nothing against the new members, I just don't like the fact that they use Ace's and Peter's makeup. Why not give them their own personas? Just look at Eric Carr and Vinnie Vincent. They were awesome! I also didn't like Sonic Boom at all. All the songs sound the same.

But Kiss has become a classic rock act, and they are at too late a stage in their career to change anything major, like the make-up. By using the same make-up, fans going to their shows will be as close to the originalk 70s line up as they will ever get by allowing Tommy and Eric t wear Ace's and Peter's make-up.

@JoX1992 I did quite like Sonic Boom - but it was nothing new. I would place it amongst Hotter Than Hell, Rock'n'Roll Over, and the like, but it is definitely not as good. They're right in saying it has a 70s(ish) sound, but it does still sound as if that it was recorded in 2009. But their re-recorded classics CD is definitely worth a buy.

With any luck they might write a few decent ballads in their next album, aloing with some more material similar to the stuff in Revenge and Lick It Up.

I was there which shows my age. Nassau Colosseum was better that year, but this was one of the best rock concerts ever. You can't beat the showmanship and the and the energy these guys put into the concert. Nothing compares.
