Wonderful deep voice, excellent alaap. Apart from a few technical issues, great singing. He is truly the leader of this pack. I agree with AG "paperach badolto".

Talatji judged Abhilasha as the best singer for this round, which was well deserved and well judges. He should experiment with Nusrat's songs, they are already great, it is like copying Picaso's painting and trying to change the color scheme! Experience will teach him the nuances of reality. Marathi Saregama is miles ahead of hindi.

I really agree with Talat's comment here.. Ho to baryach thikani experiment karat hota.. ek komal dhaivat lavala.. paN if the support instruments are not supporting then it might sound as besura (I will say out of sync).. Overall I will say excellent performance..

Adiitionally, He did not sing the mukhaDa as original song.. Though the song is in Des, Nusrat uses the Komal Nishad at "saiyya" of "More saiyya".. But he was using shuddha nishad.. Which fullfills the requirement of the Raag..

I would also like to add dat this is d basic pahadi by taking madhyam as ur shadaj ur dhaivat becomes gandhar and it is treated as vadi so its widout any doubt Pahadi :)

@MrShreyang, Thats typical Nusarat.. His compositions are never follow particular raaga... His each song starts with one raaga (u should identify it from it's aalapi at the start) During the song he will definitely divert from Raaga's restriction.. Just to make a more impact.. That is the USP of NFAK... Great Composer !!!

the judges seem to be in awe of the singer and are apolegetic in being critical of him.Even PJ seems to be overstepping her role when she goes ga ga over him even before he sings.zeesgmp please take note.

Agree but marathi singers barring mangeshkar's haven't done quite well in hindi..may be i am wrong..i think some episodes back salil said that introducing hindi was due to request from suresh ji.

I don't mind this format since it gives good exposure.

marathi parshwagayakan paiki hindi madhye suddha apla sthaan nirmaan karnari fakta mangeshkar bhavandach nahiyet...suresh wadkarancha naav visaru naka....babujinni kahi apratim hindi compositions dili ahet ani tyanni gaylela jyoti kalash chhalake aaj suddha punha punha aikaavasa vatta.....marathi sangitkaar pahile tar annasaheb chitalkar ( C.Ramachandra), Laxmikantji ahet....

Jokes apart my point was hindi singing has to be nurtured too in marathi singers..to be successful nationally..

If they have to go beyond boundaries, why set boundaries to India only then?

Make them sing English/Latin/Spanish songs too... why Hindi only?

1. We've got many beautiful Marathi songs,ithe fakt Marathi songs gaayla have

2. They can be nurtured in Hindi Saregamapa if they wanna go to 'so-called' national level plus there are many other Hindi singing competitions (more than 20) available for that

Rahul's singing seems to be going worse than before, why would you wanna promote him? Quite stupid!
