I was able to get it at 44 minutes. Unfortunately, I had to use save states at the beginning of each level. No more though :P Maybe I'll be this consistent one day. :]

@collinlloyd That's a bonus game, for DKC 1 you only need to discover these rooms, it doesn't matter if you win or lose the bonus game, the % still increases (this run is a 100% completion).
