  • yo guys im not hear to abuse or be abused,im from 2328 (bishops cleeve),myself and a cadet from another sqn are planning to organise a night excercise,it would most likley contain 25-40 cadets with appropriate staff.

It would be on a hill and could only be up to 3 hours long, anyone got any ides, anything would help becuase its the first real night ex our sqn has done with others and i want to make a good impression on our CO by organising the excerise, thanks

    Also nice vid

  • @bishboshj Make it a good setting, last one I did was finding a sniper behind enemy lines and then dropping off a bomb at the coordinates he said. (sniper is a staff member). We had to find a drop off with location of sniper, find sniper then drop bomb and back to HQ. It would take about 3 hours so would be appropriate. Keep the mission simple and have the staff as the enemy :) good luck

  • @MrDiddy1993

how would the cadets find and see the sniper in the dark without being so close that they cant drop a bomb

  • @bishboshj I'll send you a pm in a few minutes, just going for dinner.

  • heheh, i hope you realise you are wanting to be a bus driver of the sky

  • yes, I do realise that ;)

a boeing is just a bit more diffecult to operate than a bus :P

and you see a lot more of the world as a sky driver than a bus driver X'D

and u make more money than a bus driver,

  • it will qbe boring

  • not necessary,

I know a airliner pilot who's in the job for many years and he does still love it.

    Each to his own taste

I can understand some people will consider it boring

  • fine, but dont come on here and Insult ANY kind of cadet from the UK

  • lol, didn't realise u ppl were so 'whoooo'

soz, was just a joke XD

  • were not "wooooo" you learn many morals in the atc, one being loyalty, and one being respect, so its quite clear that we wont stand for people ditching us :P

  • 13 yrs old

  • are you in the ATC?

  • yes

  • do you learn the same stuff you would learn on a normal school?

  • what do you mean by school?

    theres 2 types of squadrons

    open squadron and school squadron.

They are both the same in every espect, though in the open squadron anyone can join, in a school squadron only pupils of the based school can join.

Ive been in the Atc for about 4 months now. I have flown planes serveral times. I have had one overseas trip, another one soon, I have had several training days at RAF bases, I have been living on a raf station for 2 days and im certified to use the .22 rifle

  • by school I mean Highschool

  • atc isnt a school, some squadrons are based on school grounds like i said in a previous comment :P

  • how can you ever get a job if you don't learn the same stuff they learn at highschool?

  • its not a school!!!

the members of atc still go to ordinary normal schools!

  • ooh, lmfao,

well, looks like scouting then :P

  • only more advanced scouting, with flying and stuff

  • that's kinda cool

  • it is. if you know what army cadets are it is the same as that but is basically R.A.F cadets

  • wow u guys swing ur arms rele fricken high my sqn breast pocket high

  • yea, same here

  • wooooo go 1079 squadron!!!!!!

  • sorry, wasn't paying attention the the comment

  • u fukin bstd

im in the air cadets and we r not nerds!

we want to actually do something in our life!

    exept 4 u

  • did u search up this video jus to insult us? dont hav other things to do? ur insulting us cuz u hav nothin more to do and u kno that u jus want to feel better bout urself by cuttin other ppl down to ur pathetic little size. Im in the air cadets and i probably hav more frends rite now than u will ever hav in ur life time o and here's sumthing else we get payed to go to summer camp

  • don't you people learn writing in the air cadets?

so you want to be trained as a soldier and get payed for it, (that's ok) but if you really join the army, you will probably get your head blown of by a AA missle.

nothing wrong with the air cadets, it just looks like some of you wanna 'show off' with the fact that they're ( whoooo) air cadets.

you get payed for summer camp because they need more soldiers, because evreyday some of them die.

war sucks, just like the ppl that are fighting it

  • nothing wrong with ppl fighting agains crime and anti-terrorism.

or the ppl vrom the VN.

  • ummm my royal canadian air cadet squadron isnt as militirized as that

  • lad yas r notin compared 2 r squadron , 611 (woodvale)

  • lol I went to 1079Sqn back in the day- 1996-2000. We ruled back then, I remember we used to beat the f**k out of each other on night exercises. Join the RAF not the HMP, biggest mistake I made.

  • :O i go to air cadets!!!!!

  • Incorrect "Mark Time" position.

15cm of the ground not 50.. lol

Nice video. I do Air cadets here in aus.

  • in the UK the thigh has to be parallel to the floor. Perhaps its different in Australia.

    Thanks for the comment tho'

    Inst Cdt Flt Sgt Stevenson

    Cally

  • you know, when their about to do quick march some of them lean forward, antisipating the command, thats faulty drill! its at 1:47 , sorry i couldnt help but notice

    CDT Corporal. mohamed

504 royal canadian air cadet squadron

  • Absolutely brilliant!! Well done Cally, you are going places!

    All the best from California!

  • he marching is fucking terrible

    watch it from 00:55

  • perhaps its worth remembering that these cadets are children and that many of them had never marched before. Last year, 2007, our sqn [1079 Tiverton] actually WON the wing drill competition. So we obviously improved and as we have no adult SNCO's at the sqn all the drill is and was run by the cadets themselves.

  • I am the currently the cadet responsible for all drill incl ceremonial and rifle at the sqn atm.

    Ins Cdt Flt Sgt Stevenson

  • ok dont go all political... its also worth remembering that its not hard to say in your head left, right, left... the ncos should be shouting at the cadets and telling them to straighten their arms. argh hate it when drill looks crap. if u won the drill comp then the other sqns must of been really bad.

  • Umm thats an unfair comment. NCO's should have very little reason to 'shout' at cadets. They are children and it is a youth club after alls said and done. I was the CWO responsible at the time with my then Cdt Sgt for ALL drill and discip. We all hate it when drill isnt done well, but these on the video werent our final drill team. some of them were newbies and some cadets are never very good at drill no matter what you do.

  • @ArjensGirl but they shout at my squadren :D i think its not harsh shouting but rather how drill is done e.g. SQUAS SHUN!!!!! it just worksh better :L

  • oh yher getting ther tho

  • 'richtigers12'

2427 are the best are they?

At least we can spell 'Cadets'.

  • 1017, looks good, must have taken ages to put all of this together. well done!

  • 2427 air cardets sqn the best so there

  • good vid looks all e=very exciting at 1079 sqn im in 2517 buxton sqn

  • how come no one takes picutes of the 135 challenger squad?

  • Hi guys whats it like in the ATC i am gonna join in september this year so tell us hat its like

  • It's amazing. A really excellent choice to make joining the ATC. I joined when I was 13, and never once regretted it. It made up my week, I would desperately wait for Tuesdays and Thursdays to come along when we had parade nights.

Plus, it really helped me secure a job in the RAF, it does look good for any employers also, shows you have discipline, leadership, and you're generally sensible :)

And I won't even start on the cool (and slightly sexy) uniform :P

  • just a few things

    jeltex's with greens lol

(drill) :need to straighten up thouse arms boys and girls

oh and last but not least :

it's nice to see a sqn have as much fun as you do , it's nice ... not briliant but nice

to bad about all thouse migit cadets lol

  • excellent vid and sqn - well done

  • What somg is that? Pretty good video though, really good work done on it!

  • Brilliant video! Loving the disney style text too ;-)

  • Theres a very good reason for the Disney script. During the 50's a member of staff met Walt Disney and asked him to design a sqn logo. He did! Its the cartoony eagle at the very beginning of the video [5 secs]. Its cooler than a crest we think. But tbh we would!

  • thats why i joined air cadets----its fun, exciting and always something gd to do!!!!!

  • Thank you very much

    CWO Jodie Stevenson

  • First female CWO I've heard of. Congrats.
